Lil' Cupcake's 1st Birthday Party!

First...we invited the guests:

We'd planned on this theme shortly after she was born a she:

My fabulous, talented friend Adrina made this just for Miss Miss:

Then it was time to do some prep work. I made Autumn a little cupcake clippie:

Easton made a stained "glass" cupcake from a kid's kit:

I made a felt "Pin the Candle on the Cupcake" game (the boys wanted to play it):

And I cut out these cupcakes from craft foam:

I also made my own little cupcake stand because I'm cheap like that and this way I could get the perfect colors:

If only it had turned out perfectly...I was glad I was going to cover it with cupcakes! :)

The boys and I also worked on some litte flag banners in the party colors:

Easton drew her a picture...

Which he explains here:

Then the day of the party, Jason readied the kids here at home and I took off for the park to set up. We'd rented the best shelter at the nearby "cool park" and we had sandwich fixin's set out as well as fruit and veggies and Goldfish and chips:

And decorated her little chair and such:

Jason arrived with the boys and the birthday girl:

He and my mom and Lauren helped with the remainder of the set-up and friends started to arrive! We had 31 people (including our family of 5) there to celebrate Autumn's first year with us. One was my photographer friend Claire who offered to take some pictures of stuff with my camera for me:

(That marks the end of Claire's photo-taking.)

Everyone ate and played and visited and such. Gramoo took Autumn to check out the fountains:

And eventually we gathered folks back together for singing to the birthday girl:

She dug right in:

The party go-ers were given the option to decorate their own cupcake if they wanted:

Girl needed to be cleaned up in the water!

Then it was time for some presents which her brothers were happy to help her with:

Jessica and Janna:

Kelli (who I've known since age 2) and Jonathan with little Connor:

Tonya (who I've known since age 6) and Josh with Emma and Kaylee:

Grammy and Grandpa John were also there but I somehow don't have a good picture. :(
Berkley (and Holton, Tabor, and parents) were there too but I only see them in the background of the kids decorating cupcakes picture.

A few families headed on their way and some of us leftover played some Pin the Candle on the Cupcake:

Round and round and round she goes...

The party was definitely winding down. We said our goodbyes to the rest of our friends who sweetly came to celebrate with us and my family helped us pack up while the boys played in the fountains:

Good grief my boy is S.K.I.N.N.Y.

Autumn couldn't help but fall asleep on Aunt Jess:
Photobucket
Sweet girl was worn out!

She slept through the transfer to my arms and into the car but woke up as soon as we got home. She was ready to check out some of her new loot!
Photobucket

Her pony that she can ride on...

...or push!

Daddy and Bubbas put together her new "Learning Home":

While I certainly wouldn't say she preferred the box...she definitely enjoyed it!
Photobucket

But the Learning Home has been a hit with all the kids:

We sat down to party leftovers for dinner that night and Autumn wouldn't let go of her balloon. Precious:

And that was her party...more on her actual birthday some other time. I'm worn out all over again!
