Lazy Weekend

So the little quiz from yesterday found that Jason is apparently 44% open minded. He let me see his answers which prompted a playful hands-on-hips confrontation about some of them: "Do you really listen to and appreciate all types of music?" Or, "How can you not think your religion is better than the others?" which had an interesting answer I wish I'd thought of. His take on answering the questions was, "If I can say 'true' with 75-80% truth then I checked it." Who taught him how to take true/false tests, eh? Anyway, if I thought that way I probably would have scored as slightly more open minded. Like maybe 15% :) Because unlike my husband claims I do not think I could listen to and appreciate "Hits of the Didgeridoo" (J's joke). I did not really even enjoy the old school Christian rap he had playing Saturday morning. I enjoy most types but not all music, apparently. And even though Jason likes to turn off The Fray or my festive Halloween tunes he still feels he could check "true" for that one. Whatever you say, hub. Anyhoo...

We made the mistake of listening to Easton with my stethescope yesterday. He is producing some funky lung sounds. It's a low pitched wheeze when he inhales...then, because his body is working so hard his little heart is just racing. We're talking in the neighborhood of 160 beats per minute. Baby Deuce's heart is regularly 150s so you can see how fast that is for E. His temperature was normalish when he was medicated in the afternoon but just before bed the little doodle was burning up. Even Jason could tell and he doesn't typically have "the feel" for such things. Mothers instincts, I guess. Anyway, we didn't take his temp as I probably wouldn't have done anything differently for him. No sense worrying more than I already am. I doubt he'll be allowed to get his flu shot on Monday with his illness. We'll see.

Easton is learning about Jesus. He has a book that J read to him from one time the other night. Last night they were reading a dog book and Easton quit halfway through, put it back, and asked for "Jesus" instead. So they read from that. Too sweet. Jason was saying a quick prayer as he gave E his good night hugs and kisses and Easton was saying, "Jesus! Jesus!" and then we told him to say "Amen!" and he threw his head back and went, "Aaaaaaaaaaamen!" Then we started feeling all gospely so I said, "Say 'Hallelujah'" and he threw his head back again and said, "La la!" I betcha those prayers get answered. :)

It appears today will be another lazy day. PJs for us all day yesterday and heading into the second football game of the day we're still pajama clad. Hey, Easton is sick, remember? At least we all bathed yesterday and put on clean jams for today. We need these kind of days every once in awhile. Enjoy yours!

Funny, the test gave us a good conversation as well. Even over the same question (the music one). Of course, John scored something rediculous like 77 %. But what do you expect, he was a teenager in the 70's......and in BOulder no less.
