The boys very first soccer game of the summer was Saturday. It was also G-ma and July's last day with us. Luckily their flight left late enough in the day that they could join us for their games.
Eastie's game was first.
He sure likes to run around out there:
(The non-blurred kid on the other team is Sofia from Easton's class. We had just talked about her the other day when Easton told me that "Sofia is kind of furry like a man." I guess she has hairy arms. Ha ha ha! But we were still surprised to see her there.
E's just still not real aggressive or competitive even though he planned to get five goals:
At one point early on he ran down the field and dove into a somersault:
Then he looked at us like, "What???"
I love these next action shots, they make him look like he's pretty good...

And I love the kid to bits, but these represent what he's really like out there a little better:
(He's the one under his teammate there.)
(There's Furry Sofia again!)
And check out this other thing I noticed he does:

He's got a little Disco Fever in him, eh?
He had fun for the most part. At one point he got smacked in the face and came running over to the sideline saying, "I'm never playing ever again!!" and blamed it on "not getting any goals" rather than how he'd gotten accidentally bonked in the face but he got over it quickly and ran around again.
What a cutie!
I might say he's the cutest little guy to ever play the game...but then there's this:

So they're two of the cutest little guys ever to play the game.
Dalton's practice started halfway through Easton's game. So he and Jason left for that. Did I mention Jason is coaching D's team?
E's game ended and we went to watch the very end of the half hour practice before the half hour game. Dalton was supposed to be passing back and forth with this little gal:
Then it was game time. And poor Dalton didn't want to play:

Easton sent him out there and said, "That's my big guy!" :)
But none of the 3 year olds (they're 3 and 4) were willing to play. Poor Coach Jason. And poor Diddles:

Jason had to coach a little closer with that bunch:

Dalton preferred the sidelines:
He was a little off the entire day. I'm hoping that's the only reason his first game didn't go so well. There's always next weekend! I'll let you know how he does!
Oh...P.S. Autumn was here the whole time:
In the sling on my hip.
There you have it, folks...for The S Family Sports Center, I'm Kristin. Back to you, Blog...

What handsome soccer players you have! And I can see why you had to fix Dalton's shirt. :)
Cute little soccer players!! Poor sad Diddles, though. BubTar was craaaaanky after his first b-ball game so we're
hoping this week he just tries his best and has fun...he likes things to be perfect, so that is hard for him.
