To Sew or To Blog?

I posed that question on Facebook not too long ago and my sister Lauren answered back with "blog, you big slacker" or something along those lines. So here I am. And those curtains will have to wait even longer.

So I have a ton as usual to catch up on because, let's face it, I have been quite the slacker lately. I don't have a real good reason. Wish it was something exciting.

I think I last left off with Autumn in her itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot 0-3 months get-up. So, that afternoon we checked off another park on our summer tour of "new-to-us" parks:

This might be Autumn's first time sliding. But third kid and all I've kinda lost track.

I'm pretty sure it was her first time. Pretty darn sure. If not, sorry Mija, I don't know when you slid before that.

Dalton was the one sporting a costume this time. Used to be Easton's thing. Cutie:

Let's see, here is doughnut Tuesday from last week. The boys ate way more doughnuts than usual, perhaps it was the influence of their favorite Chip and Dale?

Autumn hung with me at Dalton's old music table:

Then she moved on to pester her bubbas:

Gosh, those boys just adore C & D. Look at how they posed themselves:

Look familiar?

Tuesday night (last week) was Easton's first soccer practice. Now that he's in the "kindergarten league" they have a weeknight practice in addition to their weekly games. The first two years the kids didn't have a separate practice...it was just the half hour before the game. Not this year:

We had a heck of a time getting there because they gave us all bad directions and by the time the coach called everyone we ended up somewhere else and we (and others) were quite late. Dalton and Autumn were both asleep. I had my hands FULL. Plus it was cold. We made it work, though:

My dear friend Jessica generously sent another box of hand-me-downs our way. She also stuck little gifts for the kids in there! Autumn got a little tea set Jessica knew I had been wanting for her. I like how she looks all snobbish here:

She's really not a snob:

(That's another 0-3 month sized outfit, by the way. No clue who it belonged to before Autumn, though.)

The boys had fun playing tea party with her:

They had a blast playing tea party without Sister too.

On Wednesday last week I decided to take the boys in for "real" haircuts. It was Dalton's first ever by a professional! Their hair was just really uneven and Easton's was doing this unsightly wave thing that was driving me nuts. So I took 'em in to have someone with scissors clean that mess up. I think they took too much off E's head but maybe she had to? They still look super handsome and now I'll be able to maintain it myself again for a bit:

After haircuts we decided to drive down to the Lego store. Easton was really wanting some Lego dudes. He's very into "figures" and likes Legos okay but those kits are SO expensive, then you don't want to play with them because they're often quite complicated to put back together. So he just wanted some little Star Wars Lego guys (preferable Obi Wan). We called Jess to meet us at that mall (it's probably the closest mall to her house) and we were on our way.

We had lunch with Jessica and browsed around a bit. Jessica took us to the police station inside the mall to meet a friend of Janna and her. Police Officer Chris took us around their little station and showed us the lock-up area where they stick the bad guys on their way to jail (no one was in there, of course). Easton was nervous and stayed in the stroller once he heard "bad guys" but Dalton looked around. The other police officer guys seemed excited to have visitors in their little mall station and brought sticker badges and coloring books for my gang.

We did a little more shopping (losing Autumn's matching headband in the process) then headed back home.

Thursday (still last week) was the boys' first gymnastics class. Autumn wore a cute little Izzy hand-me-down and sported her first braid for the occasion:

I didn't bring my camera to gymnastics because I'm too far away to get anywhere close to a decent photo. But we took this to symbolize "gymnastics":

Seriously, how cute are those boys????

Gosh I love 'em all!

Okay, Autumn's awake now but there's a little taste for you guys and a little bit less that I'll have to catch up on next time. Toodles!

The boys look SO HANDSOME with their new cuts. So much older too. I hate that part of haircuts.

That outfit you mentioned with the headband was from Kaiya. She didn't wear it but maybe once because of the timing of the seasons. A looks so cute in it.

How do you find all these little parks? Looks like lots of fun.

The picture of Easton and Dalton impersonating Chip and Dale may just be one of the cutest pictures I've ever seen!

You've got cute kids...if you didn't know. I love the post-haircut photos and the C&D pics. The snooty photo of Autumn is super cute, too.

Glad you decided to blog instead of sew.
