I'm "Dada". Well, Dalton says so anyway. This is Jason posting because Kristin was too happily envious to do it herself.
Came home from work tonight, walked over to see Dalton, he looked right at me and said, "Dada!" I held my hand over to him at dinner, he looked right at me and said, "Dada!" We played games in the living room afterwards and he kept saying, "Dada!"
I don't know if it's officially his first word or not. He kind of says "ball"...makes the "mama" sounds...But never seemed to do any of it with much recognition or conviction...until now.
It's an honor when a human being's first words are your name.
I do feel bad for Kristin because she was a little pouty. But not to worry- if D is anything like Easton, then he'll be calling me "Mama" in a week.

awwww YAY Dalton!! That video is so sweet! There was an old wives tale told to me once that if a baby's first word is "dada" then the next baby will be a girl. hehehe! The opposite is supposed to hold true as well. Matthew said mama first and then came Mia. Mia's first word was dada and along came Gillian. I'm just sayin' . . .
That is so awesome! Adam also said "dada" way before "mama". What's with that?!
I'm sure it just made Jason's day. Such a fun milestone!!
Oh, that video was so cute! Dalton is the sweetest thing. Congratulations, "Dada".
How sweet! The video was just too precious. He looked so proud saying "dada". Congrats J!
