We're just sitting here enjoying our Sunday with the Saints/Bears game on. Snow is falling outside (yes, again!) and we're listening to the wee one cough and moan his way through his nap. Poor dude. He was coughing so bad during the night. Hopefully getting his "anemia" under control will help him not be sick so often anymore.
I finally found some liquid iron drops after searching a few stores and making a few phone calls. The doctor told me the specific strength she wanted me to get. So I got it. But then the pharmacist almost wouldn't let me get the bottle because she said the dose seemed like too much. She let me buy it but made me promise to double check the dose with the doctor. The doc told me 1/2 teaspoon twice a day...so basically 1 teaspoon a day, right? Well, 1 tsp a day is the dose for an adult! Eek! Iron overdoses can be fatal...that's why there's no iron in his tot vitamin. So, I'm going to call tomorrow and tell the doc her dosage scares me. Especially if his "anemia" isn't bad enough to affect his hematocrit or hemaglobin...yet.
Anyhoo...not much else to report around here. Here's a few pictures from yesterday: Easton and daddy watching movies on the laptop:
Then, Easton imitating himself in the couch Hokey Pokey movie:
And, finally from this morning...that's Blitz's kitty door to the basement...and Daddy was in the basement...
I think that should do it. Tonight we'll be enjoying chicken enchiladas for dinner. Jason is finally in the mood for some real food...he's been eating toast for dinner for most nights since his tummy bug. I'm making several pans to freeze for our post-C-section needs. I think it might take me awhile to get a routine in place with 2 kids so I'm planning ahead with meals picky me and picky J will eat. I don't know where Easton gets it from. :)
Okay, that really should do it now. Go Saints!
