You Know What Today Is?

Today is my half birthday. Isn't that exciting? I don't know why I think about that nearly every January 25th but I do. So now I'm 28 1/2. 30 is getting closer every day. Eek!

Good thing I gave Easton that flaxseed meal yesterday. Poor dude was experiencing a bit of a "log jam". Stupid iron. He worked real hard to take care of his business yesterday and today's "movement" seemed much easier for him. I'd better keep adding that flax to his yogurts, though. Ouch!

And in other "Easton pain" news...I forgot to mention the first of his 2 year molars broke through a while ago. 3 more to go. Teething sure seems painful if you think about it but we've been lucky that he handles it all rather well...molars have been a little worse than other teeth, naturally. But still...

Easton was a crab when he woke up from yesterday's nap. It doesn't usually take him too long to come around but I still prefer the days that he wakes up happy. I let him moan in his bed for awhile since he didn't want me in there and went about my own business. After awhile I took a peek in at him:

That little scoundrel! He's not supposed to be up there (on his little table in his room). He got right down though, after my picture, of course.

When he cheered up we moved on to a Valentiney art project:

And Daddy came home not too much later for some fun:

He went right to bed on time again last night! Yay! And this morning he woke up calling for, "Dada!" He usually calls for me...or if I take too long he'll move on to dada. But today that's what he started with. Very sweet. He was in a good mood and when I told him, "Daddy went to work" he just asked, "See?" So I showed him there was no Daddy anywhere in the house and he was fine with it. I had to call Jason right away to share the story though. Pretty cute.

Then we went to our last Kindermusik class today. I really enjoyed the class and Easton seemed to as well. It was very expensive though. But we still listen to the CDs in the car and do the hand motions to the rhymes and songs. I'll miss going but oh well. We hit up Babies R Us after class to return a couple of things and to pick up more stuff but we're getting closer to being ready for this next little guy.

Easton is having his nap and went right down for it too. I'm glad he seems to be getting back on track...hope I'm not speaking too soon or jinxing myself. Oh well. We read a couple of stories in his bed before he went to sleep so I'm hoping that might've helped him switch gears. Previously he had been running around like a mad man. I found him here:

Goober. He loves to flush the potty and lately I've found him putting a stuffed animal on the lid to have a seat too. Cute. He's still not real interested in the potty himself, though. He'll get there one day...I hope.

Anyway, while he naps I'm off to order some Avon and get a few other things done. Catch up with y'all later!
