Happy Groundhog's Day

Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow this morning...6 more weeks of winter it is. Except we live in Colorado so we already knew we'd be having 3 more months of it, at least. :)

As I just updated this weekend there is really not much to say today. Sorry. And there is definitely no pictures.

Yesterday we did church again. The boys are doing much better. Easton is totally brave about it. Dalton isn't as brave yet. He started crying when he saw me come to pick him up. I couldn't reach him and a little girl in his class came to give him a hug because she heard him crying. So sweet.

After church we did lunch and such and Dalton never took a nap. We tried for almost 3 hours but the kid never fell asleep. Goober.

In the afternoon we watched the Superbowl, of course. Next year I think I'd like to host or go to a get together. We've always refused invitations (including two this year) because it's hard to really watch a game with all kinds of people around but I felt bad for our kids who had to be bored. They were very well behaved and enjoyed some of the commercials but for the most part I wished they had people to play with and I wished we had more exciting food than our homemade chicken sandwiches and fries. :)

Maybe next year when our basement is all nice and finished we can invite a few serious football fans who actually will watch the game and be quiet when you need to hear stuff...the kids can be in the basement...good stuff.

Speaking of, there are no contractors here today. The plumber was supposed to come Friday but didn't. The main contractor guy was here vaccuuming up sawdust and stuff Friday morning but was gone by 10 a.m. That's a long time with no one here making progress. Right now it's 1:00 and no one has been here still. What the heck? We're paying them for the job, not the time, but still...I'd like it done sooner rather than later, ya know?

I think he needs to find a new plumber that might not have so many plumbing emergencies. The drywalling can't start until plumby comes and clearly he's not coming.

Good grief.

Okay, well you're all caught up other than our regular doughnut day this morning of which I need to start ordering more doughnuts because my kids eat more of them than they used to leaving me with less! Mama needs her doughnuts too. :) Okay, "needs" is certainly the wrong word there. But I sure want 'em!

And now you really are all caught up. Toodles!

You should just do what we do when we get donuts...order a whole dozen! They make good desserts too. :)

I think you should definitely have or attend a SB party next year. They are sooo much fun! However, I think you would only really enjoy it if you have one with people that love football as much as you guys do. We went to a party yesterday and not a single female watched one second of the game!

We aren't football watchers, but I think SB parties are FUN! You should totally have one.

Good luck with the contractors...I hope plumby shows soon!
