Sunday, Sunday

Well, our visit with Mimi and Pa-Paw has come to an end. They're leaving first thing in the morning. It was a nice visit as far as I'm concerned, I know they would've preferred our basement room to have been ready for them...maybe next time. Although the room is turning out a little smaller than we'd originally planned and who knows just what we'll be able to fit in there.

We started out our Sunday by meeting Mimi and Pa-Paw at our new church. It's rather amusing, but the main pastor actually came from Mimi and Pa-Paw's church in Louisiana although he left before Mimi and Pa-Paw ever even began going to that church. But I think the church, the worship, and the service helped them to feel right at home. I'm surprised Pa-Paw didn't hop up to usher, because that's what he does every week at their church. The boys came in for the music with us once again and then Jason took them to their classes. Drop off didn't go quite as smoothly as last week and apparently Dalton "had a sad day" the whole time. But Easton was doing great when we came to get him. He told us that Jesus helps him be brave. Awwwwww! And as soon as he saw us, without anyone asking him to, he started picking up the toys he and some other boys were playing with. I was letting him but the teacher was all, "Easton! Your parents are here!" and when I told her what he was doing she was all, "Well, bless your sweet little heart" and let him help some more. My good boy.

We parted ways with J's parents at that point so they could go back to start packing, cleaning up the condo and what not. They came over again after the boys' nap/quiet time and we went out for an early dinner at Texas Roadhouse. We arrived there around 4:00 p.m. thinking we were early enough. I didn't believe the hostess when she told me it'd be a 30-45 minute wait. An hour later I realized I was so so wrong. Our boys used up much of their batteries during our long wait and once dinner rolled around Easton was a bit whiney and tired and full of peanuts. Oh well, he wasn't too bad. Didn't ruin anyone's meal or anything.

We parted ways for good after dinner so Pa-Paw can leave before dawn like he likes to do. :) It was a very nice visit and I'm glad we got to see them. It's good for the boys too.

Here's a couple last shots I hadn't got to yet from their visit:

I've got to get to bed here before long. Carson's grandma (his other "daycare") and I switched days just for this week so he'll be here tomorrow instead of Wednesday. I think that means no doughnut Monday which I am most upset about. Oh well. :)

I'll leave you with this video of our "baseballers" as Easton sometimes says:

Cute lil batters you've got there.

My dad is also a 'get on the road before dawn' type of guy. Although rather than go back to the condo to sleep, he would have just stretched out in the middle of your living room floor with his crack showing, I'm sure. :)

Hope they have safe travels and that's neat a neat coincidence with your church pastor. Hope you guys are enjoying it there!

That video was so cute! Eastie looks like such a little man in action. Cute. Is he going to play t-ball anytime soon? He sure looks ready. And Dalton's giggle is awesome. You've got such adorable boys.

Glad the visit was nice! The church connection is neat!
