Live, from my living room...it's Saturday night!!!!
We spent the morning on the Pearl Street Mall in Downtown Boulder. It's a "pedestrian" mall which I think all malls really are, right? I guess not strip malls. But anyway, this is one of those open air malls which are becoming increasingly popular in Colorado for some very odd reason. But Pearl Street isn't a new outdoor mall at all. It's older than me. And it's a big tourist thing so we did that with Mimi (which I think she actually spells Meme but I can't do that...I'm more phonetic than that) and Pa-Paw today. We went to their really cool toy shop and spent awhile in there.
Pa-Paw sought some input on a birthday gift for The D-Bug and then each boy got to pick out a little something for today too.
Playing outside for a bit:
(Jason said he got pictures of Dalton but I'm not seeing 'em)
We then headed over to one of my favorite local joints for lunch. (It's Foolish Craig's for those few readers who know Boulder.) However, we stopped at the car to put the double stroller away. I pointed out a trash can to Easton and handed him his dad's empty beverage and sent E on his way, reminding him to stay on the sidewalk. I went to putting the stroller in the car and turned around to check on E's progress and found he did not see the trash can I had mentioned and was doing a good job staying on what looked like the sidewalk but was actually beginning to make his way through the crosswalk in the street! I briefly panicked and "rescued" him but I couldn't scold him or anything...he was being so careful and doing me a favor. The paved crosswalk looked identical to the sidewalk, he had no clue it was the street. And at least he was safe. Still took awhile for my heart rate to return to normal, though.
We drove home after lunch with Mimi and I having to try to keep Dalton from falling asleep till we could get him home for his nap. While the boys were in their rooms the rest of us bowled on the Wii again. Good times.
I put Carol to work mending the extremely torn-up liner of my favorite coat:
She can fix anything:
My mom came up to join us all for dinner this evening:
Everyone just left (see how "live" this is???). We got the boys to bed and I just polished off the last of the chocolate chip pie. In my defense I made it yesterday and we all ate some for dinner last night and everyone but Mimi had some tonight. There wasn't even a full sized piece left but I did have more than my share today. For sure.
Anyway, that's the scoop from our Saturday, folks. In keeping with the SNL title I wish I had a fake commercial I could show you. Wait...here:
Good night and have a pleasant tomorrow. :)

Dang, if I had read blogs last night, I could have been part of the live studio audience!
Looks like a nice time! Good thing you saw Eastie! Eeeek! He's such a good boy, though, very responsible and trustworthy. I'm always impressed by that.
OMG! Those jeans are the scariest thing i have seen in a long time!
I am so glad that E is ok. That would be so scary. Glad you are getting your liner fixed and the pie sounds delicious. Funny video...lol.
I'm going to start requesting more SNL blogging. That video was a riot! :)
Big relief that you caught Easton in time and nothing scary happened with him and the crosswalk.
Glad you guys are having so much fun with Pa-Paw and Mimi. (Although phonetically, would Meme not be correct? Like me me would be pronounced how you are pronouncing Mimi, right?)
