Today the boys and I headed to the Children's Museum for something fun to do. We have been there many many times yet today I managed to get us lost. Sooooooooo lost. I got off two exits too early, I do not know why. Then my shortcuts and ways to potentially get back on the highway all just led to me getting even further away. This is not like me. Not at all. My poor boys were all, "Are we going the right way now???" or "I see it! You need to go that way!" when it would be impossible to simply jump the highway to get there.
What a disaster. But once we got there we had a lot of fun...only this pregnancy brain is also to blame for me leaving the camera behind. Oh well.
I think that this "pregnancy/placenta brain" phenomenon has gotten worse with each pregnancy as well. Because this time around I have done all kinds of crazy things that a normally organized person with a normally fantastic memory wouldn't ever do...I've pulled up to the gas tank on the wrong side of the car (we've had this car going on 3 years and I had never done that even once before then!). Or, I've left the gas cap off (again, many people do this regularly...me? not so much). I forgot to buckle Dalton in his car seat once (till he let me know, whew!). I've forgotten to put in my contacts in the morning (and left the house that way!) even though I follow the same "getting ready" routine daily. I've made a special stop to pick up a certain kind of egg roll only to forget to throw them in the oven to have with the rest of our meal.
And remember that one time I showed up to meet my mom at a restaurant...only I'd forgotten to call her? Yup, I was pregnant then too.
I hope this all goes away when the kid comes out.

I get lost all the time, but only places I've never been! I've got a bad reputation for it, though, even BubTar judges me. LOL.
Pregnancy brain is a crazy phenomenon. I still laugh when I think about some of the things I did during Adam's pregnancy. With Drew's, I was just too busy peeing on myself. ;)
