Baby's First Bath

So, we threw caution to the wind, ignored the nurse's "orders", and finally gave Autumn her first bath at 5 1/2 weeks old (October 1).

We have great videos that shows how much she liked it, but she's a little too nakey to edit it well so you can't see 'em, sorry. We have a few pictures instead but those don't capture her enjoyment.






It was a family affair, the boys put toys in the water with her and chatted with her and got in the way of a few pictures and movies. :) But that's okay.

I even used the shower attachment to wash her hair which she enjoyed. When she was done I toweled her off:




And then I blasted her belly button and bum with cool air from the hairdryer. I wanted to make sure there was no moisture stuck in her deep belly button with that little piece of leftover umbilical cord. If it wasn't time for the boys to go to bed I might've dried her hair too.

She's definitely due for another hair washing tonight but I'm thinking we might stick her in the bath again...I'm willing to bet she's game.
