Autumn had her 2 month well-baby visit this morning. She was looking pretty cute sporting a bow on her ponytail on her way to see Dr. Groovy:
Her stats:
Weight: 12 lbs. 0 oz. (75%)
Length: 22 3/4" (60%)
Head: 15 1/2" (65%)
She's doing well, as you can see. And she's right in between her brothers, still. This is probably not interesting to anyone else but I'll go ahead and share anyway...Easton was born early, so he was obviously smaller (3 pounds, 14 ounces at birth) but he was also small for a 33 weeker. They call that small for gestational age (SGA). Dalton on the other hand was gigantic and was 8 pounds, 15 ounces at birth and that charts out to large for gestational age. Then there's Miss Autumn who at 7 pounds, 9 ounces was appropriate for gestational age. I think it's kinda funny that I had an SGA, an LGA, and an AGA baby...so it's not like I can say, "Oh I grow big babies..." Each of them was different when you take into account their size for their dates.
Miss A continues to be right in between her brothers...and she's still very appropriate for her age. At 2 months Dalton was 14 pounds (and half an inch shorter, the chub!). At 4 months (I'm adjusting for his prematurity) Easton was only 10 pounds, 14 ounces (and over an inch shorter than Autumn was today).
Clearly my milk does her body good. :)
I didn't work out at all over the weekend. With the sudden threat to my milk supply and the horrible knee pain and swelling I have (that I hadn't mentioned) I decided not to exercise. And my milk supply is just fine again. She's back to going her normal stretches between feedings and last night actually slept completely through the night. Or completely through my night, that is. I fed her around 9 or 9:30 and she and I went to bed at 11 or so. She didn't wake up till 6:30 this morning to eat!!! That is 9 hours between feedings! However, she went back to sleep and I didn't as our days usually start around the time she was done nursing.
With my knee hurting so badly in addition to the milk supply issue I couldn't help but wonder if it was all a sign for me to just slow down a bit with trying to whip myself back into shape. That perhaps this is not the right time. So, I'm thinking I'll probably opt for something a little less instense for now (exercise-wise). Although I definitely recommend the 30 Day Shred to others who aren't in my current "nursing mother" position (or pregnant).
Oh gosh, I got off track there...okay back to the appointment. Dr. Groovy said that he thinks Autumn's rash might be more of a hormonal issue than eczema...I think "hormonal issue" was his nice way of saying she's got baby acne. However, I still plan to do some of my eczema precautions and see what happens. He also told me to start making sure I'm reading labels and such with her issues with peanuts in my milk. Because he doesn't think Tum-Tum's rash is eczema, then he clearly doesn't think there's something else in my milk that she's reacting too. We'll see...
She was all smiles and eye contact for Dr. Groovy which was nice. Her brothers both rolled over on the table at their 2 month appointments but not my girl. She just made flirty eyes at him for her big trick. :) He noticed she has a favorite side for her head as she's flattening one part out a bit but it's not a big deal and with her getting older she'll spend more time on her tummy, etc. so it can go back to normal. Hopefully that'll help with her snarls too. I think I might have to get a detangler for my princess. She's got a bunch of knots in her hair back there that I think I might need to cut out!
Little Miss had to get 3 shots today and an oral vaccine. She sucked down the oral (while Dalton kept saying, "It's yucky!" to the nurse). Her first shot didn't bug her a bit, she didn't even flinch. But the second one she started to mind and the third one pissed her right the heck off. It wasn't so much a pain scream as a hoppin' mad scream. She took awhile to settle down after being so mad. :) Poor girl. Afterwards we headed to Target real quick but we weren't quick enough I guess and I was 6 or 7 minutes late to pick up my Eastie! :( He was fine, his teacher put him to work helping her but I felt so so so awful. Those last few minutes of my drive where I realized we were gonna be late were so stressful for me. I'd never been late before.
Okay, well it's quiet time now. Autumn is currently O-U-T due in part to her shots, I'm sure. I've got the Tylenol on hand just in case.
That's it from here. Ta ta!

Glad she's doing so well!
My kiddos, both born at 40 weeks 5 days were 8 lbs 3 ounces (BubTar) and 6 lbs 12 ounces (KayTar). I don't make one-sized babies either!
what a great well-check!!
I have been late twice to pick up cam from school (like 3-5 minutes late) and I was SUPER stressed the whole way there.
Glad Autumn is resting comfortably after those pokes!!
I love that lead picture!!
That may be my favorite Autumn picture to date. I think she looks SO much like you...do you hear that often? I can especially see it in that picture when you compare it to your little avatar pic on your sidebar. You've got the exact same head tilt and everything. :)
Also reassuring to hear how we'll she's growing on mama's milk. I know it always made my day when I found out my boys were growing so well thanks to mama.
So what did you find out about the H1N1 shot?
