Dalton Eve

My sweet sweet middle child turns 3 tomorrow. He's such a rascal. He's downright hilarious. When he's being naughty, sometimes it's hard for us to keep a straight face. We love him and his little sense of humor.

Here's a few recent "Dalton says the darndest things" for you...
- Lately he tells us, "I'm not doing any something" (except he's got a lisp so it comes out "any somesing")

- The other day he pulled away from my attempt to snuggle him telling me "too red". I looked down at my gray p.j.'s and his red ones and said, "you're the red one" and he goes "That's too red" pointing at a giant blemish on my forehead. Nice.

- Along those same lines, his teacher at Sunday school asked him for a hug. It was his last day in the 2 year old room and he's been in there over a year. His teachers--especially this one--have always loved him so she asked for a hug and he told her, "No. You too yucky. You a girl." !?!? Jason was heartbroken to hear that, actually. We have no idea where he's gotten the "girls are yucky" attitude because Easton and Jason certainly don't share that same sentiment. Poor teacher.

- When preparing for his party I asked Dalton if he wanted "regular hair" or "shark hair" (which is what the boys call fauxhawks). Diddles replied, "Regular hair. That's my favorite head." Almost like a toy where you could switch out the heads. :)

- While praying the other night he said, "Thank you for Mommy and Autumn and me and me and again."

To capture more of his little 3 year old self, here's an interview with him similar to the one I did with Easton last month...however, I think Dalton (our verbal child) maybe be even harder to understand than Easton at this age. I've tried to repeat a lot of what he's saying after him not only for your benefit, but also for when he's older and we no longer understand toddler speak. Enjoy! :)

Happy Birthday Dalton, that is a terrific interview. I have listened about 5 times. He just looks so sweet.

What a super sweet lil voice! I almost cried when he was taking about what made him sad/scared and got his pouty face.

Happy Birthday Dalton!
