I'm not sure I've taken any pictures recently. Crazy, I know. Things are good, kids are good. Dalton's birthday is now less than a week away (Tuesday). And Autumn will be half a year old (already!) on Wednesday. For us, that means starting solids. Wowsa. Guess I should pick up a box of baby cereal at the store soon. I make all the fruits, veggies, and proteins for my babies but stick with store-bought cereals simply for the iron. Breastmilk is not a great source of iron and my boys have both had anemia even with the iron-fortified cereals.

In other news, we had a long and lovely playdate with our friends Wyatt and Tracy yesterday while Wyatt's sister was at school. They came over right after our Krispy Kreme pick up and stayed until it was time to go pick up Emily. The boys all played well together and Tracy and I had lots of time to chat when I wasn't dealing with Autumn who was a bit out of sorts yesterday...sleeping a little more than normal and fussy when she was awake. Dalton had a few mega-grump sessions as well which is also odd for him.

If that wasn't enough time with Tracy, she and I went out shopping in the evening together too (for her Bunco party prizes!) while the men stayed with the kids. I'm proud to report that Jason put all 3 kids to bed by himself for the first time. It went well except that Autumn woke up after about 15 minutes and grumbled on and off for the next hour or so till I got home. Maybe she'd slept too much during the day? Maybe she was still out of sorts? Who knows? But other than that, it sounds like it went just perfectly for Daddy. Hooray!

It was so nice to just be out and about with a friend. To make it an even lovelier evening, once I got home, Autumn slept through the night! Sure, she woke up for the day at 6:15 but still...through the night and it's been awhile since she's done that.
