Things I Loved About My Valentine's Day...

- Getting dressed up and heading out to dinner at my favorite restaurant with my favorite man last night:

(I'm really kind of bummed that people weren't just wanting to take a bunch of pictures of me all fancy like I was. Oh well. Maybe in another year or two I'll dress up again.)

That restaurant was doing a set menu on Valentine's Day and we didn't like that idea so we went on Valentine's Eve instead.

- When I brought Autumn downstairs this morning Easton greeted her with a "Happy Valentine's Day, Autumn! I have a present for you!" and then gave her a kiss. That was her present. Awwwwwwww!


- The heart shaped pancakes and pink smoothies I made for breakfast before church:


- The envelope Easton and Jason secretly whipped out with a Valentine for me from my Eastie-bug:

I love this for several reasons...1.) He made it weeks ago and they tucked it away. I had no idea. I usually have an idea. 2.) He rarely tries to stay in the lines when coloring except for when it's something special...and clearly he thought this was special enough. 3.) He rarely uses more than one color when "coloring" because he's kind of a lazy colorer but he used 3 colors for me.

But then he asked if I got him anything. Goof. And yes, I had some special candies for him and Dalton.

That was about the extent of our Valentine-ing...we like to celebrate love every day of the year, really but it's fun to have an excuse to do a little something more sometimes. Happy Valentine's Day, peeps!
