Usually these kinds of posts are reserved for my Monday updates but I guess I haven't done one of those in awhile.
Anyway, time to catch you up on some things, I s'pose. Like that we're still enjoying the ants in the ant farm. Not sure if I mentioned it but the company sent some replacement ants for the ants that arrived dead. So we added those sometime last week or so and they've been up to a lot more tunneling and such since they arrived. Easton still thinks it's cool:
And for the very very few of you who may be interested, a short collection of clips of what they've been up to:
Friday afternoon we worked on some Valentines...

Easton looking like the smug punk he sometimes is:

Saturday was a special day. After breakfast, Gramoo and Lauren arrived to take just the boys to the Disney Live! show downtown. Here they are about to head out:

With the boys out of our hands for awhile, Jason and I decided we'd take that opportunity to finally see Avatar...3D and IMAX. Autumn is a very easy, very quiet baby (most of the time) and we were pretty sure she could hang with us okay. We were right. She did great for her first movie. Jason held her till she got wiggly and I was able to nurse her some and got her to sleep despite the very noisy movie. Only during the last, maybe, 10 minutes of the 2 hours and 42 minute movie did I have to get up with her and we went to stand in the tunnel where I could sway back and forth with her to get her back to sleep and still watch the end of the movie. We didn't think much of the actual storyline but were wow'ed by the effects and visuals. Very glad we were able to see that one in a theater like we did.
You've already heard about our Sunday. Superbowl Sunday.
What I didn't mention was that it was beginning to snow on Sunday. And continued into Monday. Easton still had school and Jason started out on his commute into work but wasn't getting very far so he picked up Starbucks for us and came to work from home. Which meant he was able to enjoy the snow cream the boys and I made. I'd heard making snow cones with maple syrup on them but my friend Jessica (in North Carolina of all places) was the one who recently introduced us to the idea of "snow cream". Basically ice cream made with snow. And we had PLENTY. See these two large bowls next to the boys who are saying "Snooooooooow!"?

Each boy got to help, of course:

Not quite sure why Dalton is wearing a backpack. I think it's because he's 2.
The snow cream was delicious. Dalton doesn't do so well when eating such cold things off a spoon so he didn't eat much:

That's okay, more for me!
And Easton ate it and said he liked it but later said he was full and you never know if he's actually full or just full of it.

Monday night, Easton and Jason made a model of the solar system in the living room with some balls:

What you can't see is "Professor Easton" going on and on about everything he knows about the planets and such. He knows a lot. He surprises us frequently with some of the space smarts he's picked up at school. You can't see the videos because he's only in his underpants. :) But you can see this one with him singing some of his "Planets of the Sun" song from school. Stay tuned at the end for a special "America's Funniest Videos" surprise. :)
Monday night Easton actually woke up puking at about 12:30. That was a bummer as we had a much-anticipated playdate scheduled for the next day. Blessedly, Easton never got sick again and was totally fine on Tuesday. Of course we didn't know he'd be fine so we just laid low. We still got our normal doughnuts and he ate at least 3 of them. I lose count because the boys eat them cut in half.
After breakfast E got to work signing his name on his Valentines for school:

And Autumn showed off how she's *this close* to being able to roll from her back to her TumTum:

Okay, so she doesn't look all that close in the picture but, trust me, she is. :)
She's getting bigger and bigger. She sported some Mickey Mouse ears last night:

And sat in Easton's booster seat at lunch for the first time today:

We need to figure out what we're going to do about chairs at our kitchen table. Jason and Susan (his ex) weren't thinking much about a family when they bought these black fabric covered chairs (or our white couches). And there are only four of these chairs and five of us. See the dilemma? I don't really like high chairs, not that she'd be in one for too long anyway.
So yeah, that's about it from here. Kinda random but that's me, eh? Autumn's crying. Bye!

I don't like highchairs either, because they take up so much room in the kitchen(didn't know that when I got one for Kya), but Elsie is going on 2 1/2 and is still in hers, so I guess for us it has worked out.
See...since I read these in backwards order, I really do know how close to rolling over Autumn was! LOL.
One of Josh's friends has been riding us to see Avatar. We're both kind of meh about it, just because of the hype, but this dude wants to buy our tickets...so I think we'll go see it this weekend.
