Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

I took another unscheduled break. Sorry 'bout that. This time it's from a few days of feeling like complete and utter crap followed by a few days of being away from home.

The boys and I actually made it to the library for a little bit on Thursday! Unbeknownst to me, Easton packed up for our five minute drive to the library:
Photobucket
He dug up the Santa hat from the toy box, I think, and packed that Yo Gabba Gabba boom box with the Yo Gabba Gabba figurines. Then he apparently packed his Iron Man backpack with a snack for each of us...notice the spoon in his left pocket?

He packed a yogurt for himself, a granola bar for Dalton, and something different for me although I can't remember what it was right now. When we got to the library parking lot he said, "We can have our snacks now" and whipped them out:
Photobucket

He was so sweet and thoughtful. I told him he was my absolute favoritest four year old and he said, "Will you be sad if I die?" and all I said was a choked up, "Yes." With our bellies full of snacks we then went in to play for a bit:

Not too much later that afternoon I had to call J and said the sooner he could come home the better and he ended up having to do bedtime by himself . I wasn't doing great Thursday night. I either got Dalton's tummy bug OR the morning sickness just got really bad because I was puking. Jason had to do bedtime completely by himself Thursday night (usually we all do a big, family bedtime routine) but I was down for the count. Friday morning he went into work late, making sure I could handle the day okay as I had started off with an excruciating headache. With some Tylenol and fluids I was better. We were able to make it to meet Jessica, Janna, and my mom for dinner Friday night before Jessica had to head back to Texas. But Dalton threw us for a loop by puking on himself in the car on the way there. Ugh. We thought he was done with that.

He had a really crappy night of sleep that night, mostly from being hungry, I think (after having puked he didn't have much to eat or drink). It was rough. Jason was up with him for a long time and got to sleep in the next morning but I still wasn't doing much better. And I barely made it through getting myself ready to head to a birthday party with Easton. He was all ready and so was I, we were about to leave when I was getting the address off the invitation and noticed the party wasn't until the NEXT weekend. D'oh! Pregnancy brain again! Instead the boys went out do play in the backyard while I laid on the floor by the door watching them:
Photobucket

Easton had some sidewalk chalk by the fence later and I asked what he was doing when he replied, "Painting the whole town blue". Goob.

Diddles came in for a nap and then we had something fun planned. Gramoo treated us all to "Disney on Ice" again. This year it was a "Disneyland Adventure" theme so having just been there and all she was like, "We have to go!" We weren't complaining so off we went. She got some great seats, just three rows up from the ice. Dalton preferred sitting with Gramoo for the show as opposed to with Jason or I:
Photobucket

Easton spent most of it on J's lap:

Intermission:
Photobucket

Easton and Gramoo went to get snacks during intermission, we sent them with a $20 for popcorn but they came back with that and two snowcones in souvenir mugs as well as cotton candy that came with Incredibles wristbands and a Dash mask. My mom explained, "That's what Gramoo's do." :)

We all enjoyed the show, even Buzz Lightyear makes an appearance during the capades. Very exciting.

The next day was church. The boys did well, Dalton didn't even cry for his drop off, Easton acted like a punk but didn't really mean it. I swear that kid is such a goober sometimes. After church we did lunch:
Photobucket

Then the boys did nap/quiet time and then we left for the night! Our carpet was to be installed the next day and while they'll move the big stuff you gotta clear all the loose stuff off of it, they won't touch electronics or exercise equipment, we had to clear off all the bookshelves, closets up to 3 feet high...all that. So, Jason had a full evening ahead of him and we had to get out of his way. To Gramoo's we went!
Photobucket

The boys were so excited. Dalton's never stayed there overnight before but was game. Gramoo had even cooked dinner for us! Easton got to have a swim in Gramoo's giant tub before bed and then he got to sleep in her bed with her. I'd decided to try to get D to sleep in a bed rather than the Pack & Play but it didn't go well, he had a hard time falling asleep that night. And apparently Easton waited up for Gramoo to join him in the big bed but then did great the rest of the night. As a special treat he got to go to school with Gramoo in the morning. Dalton and I hung at the house for a short bit playing:

Then we got ready to go see my childhood best friend Kelli and her almost 1 year old Connor:
Photobucket

I had never been to their house before in the 5 years they've been there. Sad. I wasn't feeling my best but Dalton and I had fun anyway. Dalton was a typical two year old and didn't want to share any of Connor's own toys with him. And he was a bad influence trying to get Connor to climb on chairs with him:
Photobucket

Then both boys had simultaneous poops. That was fun. Connor gave us a diaper, ours were in the car and I couldn't be bothered to walk all that way. :)

We left after a bit to go pick up Easton at Gramoo's school:

I took the boys back to Gramoo's for some lunch (neither ate much) and tried to get D to take a nap but with the bed situation, it just wasn't happening. We did some quiet time instead and then I decided we'd go to the mall. We were on our way when I looked back and saw this:
Photobucket

So I decided to check the plans from the regular mall to the outlet mall about 20 minutes further away, so the boys could catch up on some sleep. And Kelli had some super-cute shoes that morning that I decided I needed to buy and that's where I could find them: the outlet mall. We did some shopping and then drove back to Gramoo's. Easton was being a bit hyper so Gramoo took him to the park to burn off some energy. I stayed in touch with Jason through the afternoon and it wasn't looking like the carpet would be done till late (they didn't leave till 8:40 p.m.!), and even when it was done there was still the matter of the house being rather un-livable from all the crap he had to stash everywhere. So, we had to stay one more night at Gramoo's. But I wasn't about to do another bedtime with Dalton like the night before so I called and asked to borrow Kelli's Pack & Play. I hadn't been to their house in the 5 years prior but I went twice in one day yesterday! I took the boys with me for the drive to Kelli's because Easton was being a rascal and wasn't demonstrating his best listening skills, Dalton was downright cranky and I felt bad that we were going to have to crash my mom's house for another night.

Once we got back to her house I set up the Pack and Play and Gramoo got the boys a bath. Dalton was scared of her big tub, I think, so I just dunked his butt in for a wash and got him right out. Poor guy. :( Bedtime went SO much better without trying to do a bed, thanks Kelli and Connor!!!

This morning Easton had school but I had a bit of a dilemma about waking him up. I was sure he'd wake up when Gramoo did but he didn't, at least not longer than it took him to tell her, "It's too bright" when she was in the closet. :) But he went back to sleep till maybe 7:45:
Photobucket

Dalton and I had been up since 6:00. Waiting and waiting. :) Once E woke we got him dressed real fast and we headed up to school. I'd already called to let them know he'd be late. And he was. By half an hour. But the little bugger still doesn't like school. So I said if he could be good and stop being such a punk about it, then how 'bout we make cookies later while Dalton took a nap? He agreed and Dalton and I were able to go on with our day.

Next stop: the grocery store for some breakfast. On our way in I noticed a grocery store employee babysitting a car and I thought, "I wonder if there's a kid locked inside". Then as Dalton and I were in the store I heard them say just that, "Yeah, I guess she locked her keys in the car with the kid inside". Dalton and I finished up our quick shopping trip and headed back out where I saw the poor pregnant woman consoling her daughter through the minivan window. I walked over and was like, "Hi, I kind of overheard what was going on..." and she was like, "If you don't have anywhere to be right now I wouldn't mind someone to talk to, I'm about to freak out". So we stayed with her. She used my cell phone to make sure her husband had gotten ahold of a lock smith. He had and said they'd be 15-20 minutes as they knew there was a kid locked inside. 20 minutes later still no one had come so I was like, "I wonder if the police department can open doors" and just then a grocery store employee walked out and was like, "I did this exact same thing and you know who we should call is the fire department." The pregnant mom was like, "That's what we were just saying!" so the employee called the fire department and a few moments later, sirens blaring, a big shiny truck pulled into the lot followed by a police car. I couldn't help but crack up at all the excitement!
Photobucket

But, the little girl had been in there for going on 40 minutes or so. :( The reason I have the picture is that I joked that, "Hey, I have my camera, you want me to take some pictures for your scrapbook?" and she was like, "Funny you mention that, I was just thinking I wished I had a camera". So I took pics of the "rescue" and such...and got her email address to send them to later. We had all sorts of time to talk while we waited on the no-show locksmith. She had just dropped her 4 year old off at preschool too. The toddler stuck in the carseat was almost 2 and she was expecting a third...although in her case she was due next week. She was like, "I keep picturing my water breaking right here while we wait and then I won't know what I'll do!" She was so sweet and so stressed. I was glad I could help her a tiny bit just by hanging out to talk and give her a phone to make a few calls when she needed to.

Dalton and I came home after that for some food and to check out our new carpet. I have some slight grumpiness about a visible seam, and that the carpet is full of static. And the squeaky floor in the "nursery" that Jason tried his hardest to fix is now somehow even louder than before! But it's soooooooo nice to see the basement nearly finished, especially. Much to Dalton's amusement, I literally rolled around on the floor down there. Till I got sick of shocking myself. It wasn't long before it was already time to go get Bubba.

We made a quick stop at Target and then came home for lunch. And Easton got to make the promised cookies:
Photobucket
They're those chocolate oatmeal no-bake "drop" cookies. Easton kept saying put a "dibble dopp there" which Seuss fans might recognize from "Mr. Brown Can Moo". They're cooling and hardening during his quiet time now. Can't wait to eat them!

Once Dalton wakes up I'm hoping to take them to the mall to play. It's been so long since we've done much fun that the boys are stuck playing in the backyard all the time:
Photobucket

Or torturing the cat:
Photobucket

Photobucket

I've discovered a clothespin clipped to Blitz's neck scruff and a pirate eye patch around his middle recently. In addition to those 3 pancake molds above. Poor kitty. No wonder he took the first opportunity he could to puke on one of the newly carpeted stairs within a half hour of the carpet guys leaving. :)

However, I'm back on my three times a day meds and I'm hoping that'll keep me where I can at least have fun with my kids again. I'd been missing them! The house and cooking is another story, especially because things usually get really bad in the late afternoon, right when I should be thinking about dinner. Blech.

Oh well, it'll be worth it eventually!

Kids Say the Darndest Things--Just Eastie Edition

When planning Jason's pirate themed party, Easton had all kinds of great ideas that would make him say, "I know!!! We could..." Well, not wanting to be left out, Dalton would do the same thing, "I know!!!" but then say something random that didn't make sense to which one time Easton said, "Hold on a minute, Buckaroo".
Photobucket

When eating popsicles recently I told Easton to scooch over to eat it over the table so that the pieces wouldn't fall in his lap and he said, "I agree."
Photobucket

Easton was eating yogurt and Dalton wanted some, but it was in the midst of Dalton's illness and I told Easton not to share. So when Dalton asked Easton said in a sweet little voice, "I'm sorry you can't have any, you're a sick little guy."

And again during D's illness, I kept a towel handy to catch any potential puke and that led Easton to invent "the Balloon Towel 3000":
Photobucket
The "3000" part is from Wubbzy, one of his favorite shows. I forget how the contraption was supposed to work exactly, other than the towel being draped over a balloon.

Dalton tried to give something to Easton that he did NOT want the other day and I heard E shout, "NO!!!" then say, "I mean, no thank you". Such a sweetie, he's trying!

And finally, I repeated that Facebook interview with "Dad" as the one I was asking questions about:

1. What is something Dad always says to you?
"Um, hello!"

2. What makes Dad happy?
"No hitting"

3. What makes Dad sad?
"When I do hit somebody" (he's really not much of a hitter)

4. How does Dad make you laugh?
"He does a silly joke: Knock knock, who's there? Boo. Boo who? A ha ha ha!"

5. What was Dad like as a kid?
"He LOVED you...and he stayed!" (Huh???)

6. How old is Dad?
"15"

7. How tall is Dad?
"Um, I have to get the tape measure. He's this big" with his arms stretched up as high as he can reach.

8. What is Dad's favorite thing to do?
"Um, work."

9. What does Dad do when you're not around?
"I think he comes and finds me."

10. If Dad becomes famous, what will it be for?
He cheers, "Da-ddy! Da-ddy! Da-ddy!" then says, "Because he's really great at artist at work."

11. What is Dad really good at?
"I think he's great at skating" (only because E is pretending to skate around the kitchen) then changes it to, "Making money at work"

12. What is Dad not very good at?
"He's not very good at making Pop Tarts"

13. What is Dad's job?
"To work on the computer sometimes"

14. What is Dad's favorite food?
"Potatoes with macaroni and cheese"

15. What makes you proud of Dad?
"When he goes poo-poo in the potty" (for me he said pee-pee, weirdo)

16. If Dad was a cartoon character, who would he be?
"He would be Batman."

17. What do you and Dad do together?
"Sometimes when something's broken, we work together to fix it!"

18. How are you and Dad the same?
"Because we don't wear any shirts in bed" (Easton has done this exactly one time)

19. How are you and Dad different?
"Because we talk different. He has his voice and I have my voice."

20. How do you know Dad loves you?
"When he gives me a good kiss."

21. What does Dad love most about Mom?
"He loves you because you're his friend girl...can I have a cookie?"

22. Where is Dad's favorite place to go?
"To Red Robin's" (this is so not true)

Things are looking better here, Dalton-wise. He's having a great day so far. In fact, we all slept in this morning. Jason's alarm was set for 6:45 but he turned it off and we didn't wake up till E started calling at 7:35. We try to leave for school between 7:45-7:50 so it was a bit of a rush to get E and I ready without too much fuss from Easton who is used to lounging with his juice and watching an entire TiVo'd show. Instead he only got to see one segment of a Little Bear. Too bad, kid.

Dalton was still sleeping but since Jason was in the shower I asked if I could just leave D there for the few minutes it would take me to run up to the school. I figured the little guy could use the rest. So, that's what we did. He woke up while I was gone but was in great spirits all morning and even had his little Diddle-sparkle back. Hooray. He had an appetite and everything so we decided to head to AussieROO after all.

We had fun at ROO, the fact that I am pregnant came out because two of the teachers were talking and I heard them mention a name Jason likes that I claim isn't anyone's name. But, apparently it is and I said, "My husband is pushing for that" and they were like, "Oh, are you expecting a new addition?" So that was fun to get to chat with more people and THEY said nice things like, "I'm glad you told us because we can't tell at all". And sorry folks, but it's like last time and names are not something I like to discuss much with outsiders, unless I'm making fun of a name Jason likes. I'm such a party pooper, huh?

After ROO we went to the grocery store for chicken for tonight...I've been SUCH a slacker with not being able to shop with D sick, and not ever feeling like eating or cooking much anyway. But we got chicken. I'll be making it for tonight.

Then we went to get Bubba. His class picture was waiting for me in his folder:
Photobucket

I'm so glad he got to get out of the house today for school...he's been so sweet stuck at home with us, finding ways to entertain himself:
Photobucket

Photobucket

Then after school Isaac's mom was like, "You want to meet us up at the McDonald's for lunch?" so we decided to do that. It was fun, I'm so glad Dalton's feeling well enough to do such things and I'm glad Eastie got a little extra time to do something fun with a friend.

Anyway, we came home for D's nap and he's sounding like he's awake in there already...what the heck? I must go investigate.

Mega-Post Ahead

Back to Friday, sheesh, that's a long time ago seeing as how we're on Wednesday now. Sorry it's been that long since I did a "real" blog. But that's how life goes sometimes, eh?

Anyway, this is a cute shot of the brothers after dinner Friday night. Dalton didn't eat well enough to deserve any Nilla wafers, but big brother did. Dalton was so sad and Easton said, "Here, let me hold you" and they spent a long time like this, Little Bub crying in Big Bub's arms. Awwwwwwwwwwww.
Photobucket

Photobucket

Saturday, what did we do? I cannot remember at all what we did in the a.m., Jason ran a few errands I believe, and I talked with my mom and both my sisters on the phone. In the p.m. I remember I had a really bad headache and laid on the couch doing nothing, thankful that Jason was home because otherwise I'd have to call in reinforcements (like Gramoo!). I also planned an impromptu "brunch" at our house for the next morning, but was too sick to go buy anything or make anything fancy ahead of time so in the morning I just had to wing it.

I had no idea it was time to "Spring Forward" already but luckily Jason knew about it and we changed the clocks. We actually don't mind "Spring Forward" because instead of waking up at 7:00 the boys' internal clocks actually don't wake them till what is now 8:00 so that's all good. Only we had to rush to make it to church on time at which point my mom called and apparently she had forgotten the time change!

Church was good. Easton did well and even Diddles acted sad but still reached for his teacher to take him out of my arms. Little D scribbled on this:
Photobucket

And then we went to pick up Easton who was hard at work trying to finish up this:
Photobucket
It was hard to get him to leave because he was coloring so fast trying to finish up. He did have time to complete this, however. It's showing that he's hoping for "a baby" he says:
Photobucket
Awwwwwwwwww.

E did great at church. Apparently they learned about Lazarus being raised from the dead (how confusing to our newly death-obsessed child!) but anyway, Easton got to be wrapped in toilet paper to play Lazarus. I love how he learns stuff at church and school. We were like, "What did they say?" and he repeated with the whole, "Lazarus come out!" :) Hooray for church!

This week we brought the boys with us to worship before taking them to class. And Jason made sure to take Eastie potty right before he dropped him off so that man wouldn't have to take him. But while they were in the men's room Easton described how he went in a little stall by himself the week before. Whew!

Right after church we had to stop at a McD's because Easton announced he needed to pee "right away" then we stopped at the grocery store for a few things for my "brunch". Jessica is on Spring Break so she's in town this week and she and Janna pulled up right when we did. They brought belated birthday gifts for the boys and entertained them while I got to work on a pancake breakfast with a side of cheesey potatoes and a berry medley. Not bad for last minute, I guess.

The weather was beautiful so when Diddlebug went down for his nap, the rest of us (minus Jason who was out ordering our carpet) went in the backyard to play:
Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
Fun fun!

In the evening we went out for Jason's birthday dinner. I thought he'd choose something exciting and delicious like one of his favorites: PF Changs or something but no, he opted for Sweet Tomatoes. I felt bad that we didn't plan anything exciting for his birthday. With him choosing to go to work the next day, I just didn't think to plan anything for his birthday EVE. Oops.

We wished him a happy birthday the next morning, and asked if we could come take him to lunch later. He agreed. So, the boys and I got ready, Easton took a "3 month" belly picture of me, I am exactly 14 weeks in it. It's going to be time for me to have my "Pregnancy is NOT 10 Months" talk with you all again soon, but yeah, Saturday marked what I call 3 months along...it was 6 months from my due date. And that was just two days shy of 14 weeks, so E took this for me that morning:
Photobucket

I have to add the black "background" so my white belly doesn't blend in with the door. :) And yep, that's a belly, isn't it? Here's what I looked like at -1 months just to compare to my non-pregnant belly (seriously, it was shortly after my miscarriage):
Photobucket

So, definitely a growin'! But my belly now is smaller than it was with Dalton at this same stage. I would've guessed differently but pictures say otherwise. That actually makes me happy. I don't like sportin' a belly too soon. I refuse to move into maternity shirts yet for some reason. I don't need maternity pants and I could wear the shirts just so everyone knows I'm pregnant, but then it would make me depressed to get the "looks" and comments I'd get when I'd say I still have nearly 6 months to go. Maybe in April. :)

Anyway, Monday morning the boys and I did doughnuts. And then we went to the mall for a bit. And eventually made our way up to lunch with J. He picked the spot but it's one of my favorite restaurants in Boulder. Mmmmmmm. The boys at lunch:
Photobucket
Easton was sort of being the Statue of Liberty. And Dalton nearly had a crayon in his nose although he's covering it up from this angle:
Photobucket

On the way home, the wrong kid fell asleep. Dalton is showing how wide awake he was:
Photobucket

It took me awhile to get him down for his nap, but Easton strangely stayed asleep. That was weird to have him napping. He's so not used to napping that when he woke up and saw his clock said, "3" he just sat there waiting and waiting for it to get to "7" I'm sure, when he's "allowed" to call. He didn't know he was just having a nap. I was glad I heard him before I think he'd been awake too long. My sweet, rule-following, good boy!

Once everyone was finally awake we had to rush to finish Jason's birthday prep. Easton really wanted a pirate theme for J so we went to get a few supplies and then needed to buy a cake mix and rushed back home. Easton insisted on "getting dressed" right away for the festivities:
Photobucket

So Diddles did too:
Photobucket

I went to work on the cake and rounding up all the presents and cards that have been arriving. Easton drew a treasure map to Jason's big present that was too big to wrap while Dalton worked on a placemat:
Photobucket

When J got home all 3 of us were in our pirate gear and Daddy jumped right in too, even went as far as to call me "wench" :) :
Photobucket

Pirate faces:
Photobucket

I made J's requested chicken marsala for dinner, I couldn't stomach it so the boys and I had cottage cheese instead. I frosted the cake and then we were about to jump into the presents when Dalton did his first yakking of the night. Poor fella:
Photobucket

We continued on, though:
Photobucket

Photobucket

The treasure map E drew is inside this balloon:

Preparing for the pop:
Photobucket

We finished up then moved on to cake:
Photobucket
Jason decided that Dalton could have a nibble even though he'd just puked but Dalton didn't want any.

After cake Diddles threw up some more, I carried him up for a bath so he could get to bed. Poor guy. We were anticipating a LONG night for sure. Dalton had puked on me at one point so Easton and I had a shower, here is our pirate scaling the walls while he waits for me:
Photobucket

You already heard what a rough night we had. But here is Sweet D the next morning getting cleaned up and smelling better in a bubble bath:
Photobucket

And E insisted on getting back into his pirate gear as soon as he woke up:
Photobucket

Dalton tricked me yesterday morning. He only retched one time all morning, and really I just kind of thought it was a wet burp. He had those sips of water and a few ounces of milk like I'd mentioned. I even let him play out in the fresh snow with Bubba:
Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

By his nap time he was ready for sleep and was beginning to refuse fluids again. He still hadn't had any solids. When he woke up after two and a half hours he proved he was still sick. He kept up his heaving every half hour or so only he was so empty nothing would really come up. He was still refusing anything to drink and I was starting to get worried. That's a LONG time to be puking. I called the nurse at his new doctor's office and planned to take him to urgent care when Jason got home. The nurse talked me into waiting awhile longer, she said that long to puke was not uncommon so I felt better somehow but warned me that if he didn't wet a diaper to take him in for an IV later that night. Luckily he peed before bedtime so we didn't have to go! But just look how lethargic that sweet boy was:
Photobucket

When I was on the phone with the nurse he overheard me say "popsicle" and decided that he did actually want one or two and he sat in his chair and sucked down two mini popsicles. I left him there for an hour in case he was going to yak it up but it stayed down and gave him energy for the night and also helped him pee.

He made it through the night just fine. Whew! And I got some more water in him this morning before he realized it wasn't milk. But he's definitely still quite sick today, still retching on and off but again, nothing is coming up. We went out to grab me some Starbucks and came home for E and I to eat breakfast and Diddles asked to watch "Woody show" again:
Photobucket

My pirate trying to enjoy some oatmeal:
Photobucket

I decided to run back out later for the free Wednesday (in March!) Redbox Rental for Easton and some more popsicles for D. We were in the car in the driveway when I discovered the garage door wouldn't go down! Half our garage is filled with our stuff from the basement! I can't leave with it open. I called Jason a few times to ask what I should do to lower it manually (I didn't know if it would be too heavy for pregnant me). I even ran across the street to the neighbors to see if he could help me (they weren't home). Then some woman down the road was like, "Ma'am, is your power out too?" and I was like, "OH! Is that what it is???" Apparently between me opening the garage and trying to leave, the power suddenly went out.

So, I just decided to suck it up and try to lower it myself...luckily it wasn't too bad. Whew! The power outage was apparently pretty widespread...the stoplight at the major intersection down the road was out as was the power at the McD's and the grocery store across the street. Luckily the store has a back up generator so they could stay in business, even if it was a lot darker than usual. Easton (still dressed as a pirate) said, "I made it dark so we could have an adventure!" It was kinda fun trying to read the Gatorade flavors in the semi-dark. An adventure indeed. We ran to 3 different Redbox's to try to find Easton the Tinkerbell movie he's been wanting. He's been sooooo sweet with me and Dalton not feeling our best and I really wanted to reward him any way I could minus something that actually required me to get up and play crazy wild games or something. :) We finally found it and came home to the power back on. Whew!

Dalton went down for his nap, E's watching his movie, and here I am. I'm actually not feeling too terrible at the moment but it's a moment to moment thing. However, no headache right now which was a large part of my "issues" yesterday.

Anyway, now you should be all caught up again. Till the next time my own "issues" or my sick kids keep me from blogging again.... :)

A Post and Run

I only have time for a few things right now...
- I am 14 weeks (and one day) pregnant. Everyone would agree THAT is now in the second trimester. Woo hoo! However, I'm still feeling crappy. Still nauseated most of the time, no "second trimester burst of energy". I'm a little scared it'll never end now.

- Jason had his birthday yesterday, he went to work but we tried to make it special when he got home. Easton thought a pirate theme would be good so that's what we did. After dinner, Jason was about to dig into some gifts when Dalton came up with a gift of his own...three rounds of vomiting on his booster chair tray.

- Dalton didn't stop throwing up till 4:30 or so this morning. Seriously, it was at least every half an hour (sometimes closer together) for 10 straight hours. It was a rough night, the poor babe. He seems better today although feverish, largely from dehydration, I'm sure. He had a bath, some sips of water and maybe 5 oz. of milk once he woke up. No food but he did play with Bubba in the snow for a bit and is napping now, his normal time.

However, that brings me to why I'm not doing a full-fledged post today, I was mostly the one getting up with him last night and I'm pregnant and exhausted and would love to lay down for a bit myself but I'm not sure if any sleeping will happen because I've got this other kid who I will not let nap today. He napped yesterday, I thought with the time change he might need it since he fell asleep in the car and all. So I let him sleep for the first time in a bazillion years and then the little booger didn't fall asleep for 2.5 hours after his bedtime last night. And of course he was still up as soon as his clock read "7" this morning. Once I realized Dalton was sick I was like, "Oh, I hope that's not why E slept" (that he was getting sick too). So far everyone else is healthy but Carson isn't coming tomorrow just to play it safe.

Anyway, I'm off to rest.
