Easton making his own:
My mom was famous for making those festive doughnut spiders around Halloween time. Heck, she even gave me the supplies to make one for Jason when we were newly dating. :) I decided this was the year to begin making them for my boys and one day their wives will read the archives of these blogs and make them for my grandchildren, right?
Did my boys like 'em?
We listened to some festive spider songs and I got this video:
Clearly after that Dalton was in need of a bath. And Easton wanted in too so they had a fun bubble bath with shaving cream on the wall:

And on Dalton:

And on Easton who dubbed himself "Sour Cream Man!"

More bath fun:

After the bath Dalton did not want a diaper. He wanted underpants like Bubba so Easton picked out an Elmo pair for him:

He was so happy! And about 2 seconds after this he stared to pee on the floor.

I said, "Oh! Pee pee!" so he'd have a word for what was happening (even though he knows the word, of course) and stuck him on the potty. He insisted he was done though, darn.
Then the boys both put on Spiderman costumes. A tale of two Spideys...

See E climbing in the back?
Dalton even wore his costume to watch Bub at gymnastics:

It was the last class of this session and they finally got to go on the rings. They separated the class into two groups...Easton was in one and saw that the other group was going to go on the rings so he switched groups by telling the teacher, "I have to go on the rings." So the one coach thought that the other coach had sent Easton over there based on him saying that. Perhaps it sounded official? He had to go back to his group when he got found out, though, and waited for his group's turn. Too funny.
While I took that video Dalton was on the lap of some woman he made friends with browsing through a Spiderman chapter book.
Afterward class we did a quick Walgreens run and then went to Kohl's to look for a coat for E. It's been about 45 degrees the last two days so it's looking like we're close to needing a winter coat for my growing boy. I say 'growing' but the two that he tried on were both 24M size. :( We're going to JCPenney to look again this afternoon and then we might decide on one. Coats are a bigger purchase I'm almost afraid to make without J's input...not because Jason will be all, "Why did you get this coat, crazy woman?!?!" but because I'm so indecisive and when I spend, like, $30 on something for a kid it had better be good for everyone.
Dalton is not interested in napping again today. Yesterday he was in his crib for two hours before falling asleep. Today he's up there shouting, "Ribbit!" and singing "Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Cock-a-doodle-doo" from the Wiggles. The odd thing is I think Easton might be sleeping. Haven't heard from him in awhile. He keeps faking me out, though...acting like he's gonna nap for once and then I just find him playing quietly. The other day he told me he was having a costume party and the invitations were all ready. Must go check it all out. Have a great weekend everyone!

Great post. Love the new ?Spidey/Viper? costume. You make better spider donuts than me :) Moo
I just love those Spiderman photos. E could totally replace Toby Maguire.
Maybe your BOYS will grow up to make the spiders for their wives and your grandchildren. ;)
That photo of D in the underwear is too funny! Oh, the excitement!
You got some great pictures today. Cute spiders and Easton did great with all his gymnastic tricks.
Love the spider donuts. They look spooky AND delicious. So did you make the donuts yourself too? Or just use store bought ones? I saw a very similar pic in a magazine last night using cookies. I personally think the donuts look better...and yummier. :)
Nothing like a fun brotherly bath afterwards either. They are too cute.
The picture of Dalton excited to wear undies had me smiling ear to ear.
E's gymnastics video was quite impressive. No way could Adam do a back flip or those rings. E's a superstar!
And the toe tapping...how can I forget that? So cute!
Okay, I guess that's all I remember for now. :)
Happy weekend to you guys too!
You didn't actually make the doughnuts did you? Very cute!
Love D in the undies...and him saying "what" during the video. Cute little voice.
I was kind of hoping that the "ring spotter" was gonna let E swing until he fell. I wanted to see how long he could hold on - I was way impressed!
