Easton says hilarious things all the time, and many of them make their way onto the daily blog...but a lot of them I leave out, partly because I forget, partly because I already type too much as it is. But there are some worth sharing so here's a small collection of a few recent funnies:
-->Easton was playing with Blitz (the cat). Blitz decided he'd had enough and bit Easton on the hand. Choosing to be optimistic, Easton exclaimed, "He gave me a little nibble! He's so nice! He gave me a small nibble with his new teeth! Isn't that so cool?!" New teeth?
-->Riding in the car on the way to gymnastics he looked down at his legs and said, "I've got a lot of nipples!" When I said, "You've only got two" and he said, "I've got nipples everywhere!" (He meant mole/freckles...which he only has a couple.)
-->Finishing what he'd had in front of him for dinner one night he said, "I want something else" when we asked what he'd like next he said, "Hmmm, buttercream roses". (Thanks Max & Ruby!)
-->One day we were "cooking" with his plastic food and I asked if he wanted to crack some eggs with me. However, he was quick to inform me, "I don't crack eggs! I'm a man! I go to work!" While we do currently follow the more "traditional" gender roles around here, I was still surprised to hear him say that.
-->Trying to engage one of our new school friends in a conversation I asked who his favorite guinea pig was (Chocolate or Butterscotch). A few minutes later, Easton came over and announced, "My favorite scotch is Butterscotch."
-->We recently brought out our Halloween stuff so Easton started off thinking every night was Halloween night. The second night someone rang the doorbell and he shouted, "Oh! It's a customer!!!" Poor guy.
-->When we were getting ready to play in the pile of leaves on Thursday Easton said, "Mama...you hear that?" And I said, "Hear what?" and he said, "It's a beautiful, refreshing day!"
-->Often times Easton will ask for 3 of something when possible because "he's a big three and a half boy". Or other times he'll stress how he's the oldest out of he and Dalton. But the other night he asked to read three stories at bedtime "because I'm the three-est!"
-->The other day Easton went into his room for quiet time and grabbed something he pretends is a microphone and said, "Oh! I need this for my date!" I asked about it and he said he's going on a date by himself to sing "for my kids". Later as I told the story to Jason he decided to ask E about it some more. Eastie elaborated that after we cleaned the car he was going to go on a date. Jason said, "It's good to have a clean car if you're going on a date. Are you going with someone?" And E answered, "Just for myself. One boy." He explained how he was going to take some food and go to Chuck E. Cheese by himself and drive the truck there. Jason then realized that Easton really thought he was going to go on a date. So we had to deter him. Jason said, "Easton you can't go on a date if you can't drive...let's see if you can drive yourself" and put E on his lap (*gasp!*) to steer past a few houses in our 'hood.
As Easton helped pull into the driveway he stated, "So I can drive!" We pointed out that he couldn't reach the pedals himself--so no dates until then. :)

Well, you can tell we don't really do the traditional gender roles around here because KayTar says things like, "I'm vacuuming just like Daddy!" or BubTar told my mom, "My dad cooks and cleans, but my mom does ALL the planning." LOL.
The date story is so funny!! Where do they get these ideas?
I love all of those little quirky things that come out of E's mouth. What a cutie pie!
Gotta love those Eastie isms. Moo
These are great! I love it when parents share the funny/quirky things their kids say. (You'll be seeing another post like this soon on my blog as I've already got a list compiled of funny things). :)
Do you remember when Adam confused his freckles with nipples? Too funny.
I think my favorites were "Oh! It's a customer!" and "It's a beautiful, refreshing day!" He is so funny.
Those are hilarious. What a smart boy he is.
Loved them all! I've got a line almost identical to the one E said about the refreshing day that I have written down to share.
I really need to carry around a tape recorder because so often I tell myself to remember something the kids say only to then forget it moments later.
I've got to write some of the things Athena does down too. This is such a funny age!
E. is too cute.
