All this for 41 cents...
I was taught the proper order in which to give my coupons when "stacking" so that I can get what you call "overage". That's right, not only is just about everything you see above FREE, but then some! The only thing I paid for was that mask. It was 75 cents. I only paid 41 for the order therefore, I made 34 cents with my coupons for the other stuff. Can you believe that? Those chocolate bars are for Moosie who eats small amounts dark chocolate fairly regularly. They're normally $2.59 but I stacked a bunch o' coupons and got them all free. Same with the Visine. My total savings was $14.68. It's unreal, people.
Even Easton is a Walgreens fan. He often asks if we're going to Walgreens and if we are it is always met with a "Yay! I love Walgreens!" How could you not, really? The boys like to play with all the Halloween decor. I'm sure we've worn out the "try me" batteries at our favorite store.
So, Saturday morning Easton had his last swim class for awhile. He did great and with only going to 4.5 classes, he has graduated into the next level once again. His teacher wrote, "He does very well in the water, good luck". We won't be signing up again now that it's getting cold. Even though it's indoors it's just too cold right now.
After swimming lessons, Jason and Easton came home and we had lunch and with Dalton down for his nap, Easton and I went to have some special one on one time at the craft store. They were having a "decorate a pumpkin" workshop. Here is our before:
Being silly with some supplies:
Using that implement to poke holes in the top:
What's he need holes for? Hair!
Ta da! The finished product:
Jason named him a uncharateristically unoriginal "Wilson". Jason can do better than that, he must've been tired. :)
Easton and I then moved on to making some cookies to share:
E said, "I put them like this so they could all be friends" which is why they're all lined up on the tray.
Are you noticing the tie dyed shirt for the big LSU game that day? Both boys were in their purple and gold, even Eastie's socks!
Of course, Daddy was too!
The game wasn't until the evening so we headed down to Lauren's restaurant for an early dinner. Auntie Jess was in town! On the drive down:
Notice his little crossed ankles.
So Lauren seated the rest of us and would wave from her hostess stand as the rest of us ate. My kids didn't eat anything. But Gramoo keeps lots of fun stuff for them in her purse.
We came home and started the game, put the boys to bed, then finished watching LSU lose. :(
In the morning I went back to that same church. I'm thinking it's now a "no". I don't want to have to force it but realize it could take some time. I dunno... While I was gone, Jason and the boys opened up the bag of Halloween goodies Gramoo sent with us while wearing their new light up Halloween shirts from The Alabamaws:
Apparently when Easton saw this he said, "Oh! Super Fox!"
They weren't quite sure what to do with the streamers (still aren't):
So Easton became a festive mummy. Except he pronounces it "Mommy":
The boys also ran out to get D some more milk because he'll run out before our delivery comes and to pick me up a Sunday paper full of coupons! As soon as I got home from church we packed right back up for brunch with my mom and sisters again:
We came home for Broncos (which we didn't really watch much of) and naps and quiet time. Jason and Easton ran to the pet store. Not much of interest to report with Sunday afternoon.
This morning...you all know what Monday's mean. But before we left while I was gathering the drinks the boys got to coloring. Easton said, "Dalton is practicing rainbows and shapes and I'm coloring snowboards."
Then we were on our way:
I don't really like it, but our Krispy Kreme always has a few flies inside. Easton's favorite thing to do is run around and chase flies. We're usually the only ones there so I let him. But it's kinda gross, eh?
It's cold here this morning and instead of coats the boys have a blanket over them. Which, upon hearing giggles, I turned around to see this:
We made a quick stop at Walgreens to look at Dimetapp and then Gramoo called with a fun idea: glow in the dark mini golf. So we headed down to meet them there. We arrived a little early so I was going to browse the mall where the mini golf place is while we waited. As I was getting out my new double stroller I happened to notice this:
D had gotten into the box of leftover doughnuts to help himself. Rascal.
We discovered this really awesome interactive video game type thing that projects from the ceiling, yet somehow "knows" where the kids are...so they stomped on images of bubbles and the projector knew and made them pop. Or they "kicked" a soccer ball into goals. It was crazy and super cool. I'd never seen anything like it.
Then we played black light golf. It was really cool. Easton and Jessica got lost for awhile. I was glad she was with him as he could've been hard to find. :) Dalton was only interested in a few holes. But, I made two holes in one with him on my hip. Fancy, huh? Sadly, carrying my kid improves my game somehow.
After Moosie treated us to golfing she then treated us all to lunch at Red Robin. Yum!
My sisters...
Then we said our goodbyes as Jess flies out tonight and came home. D fell asleep in the car for maybe 10 minutes and is apparently done for the day. But you'd better believe I've got 'em both in their rooms as usual anyway.
Perhaps it's time to go rescue them...

I haven't had a chance to read this entire update yet, but I did see you dissin' on my family name. Hmmpfff. :oP
I'm a dolt. :)
Didn't even get the Wilson / Cast Away reference. Hope you know I was being fake mad anyways. Even I can agree that Wilson is an unoriginal name. lol
You will need to explain the stacking order of coupons. I do recall reading something about it with our grocery store triple coupons and that the store coupon should be last...is that correct?
It looks like you got in lots of fun time while your sis was in town. I sometimes wish that I had a sister...but other times I think I liked being the only girl. I sure hope my kids don't mind having another sibling of the same gender.
That is awesome that you got to see Jess this weekend. Too bad it was such a short visit. I bet the boy's really missed her.
That game at the mall sounds so cool. Technology is so impressive sometimes.
Let me just say how much I love when the boys are matchy...the LSU shirts, grey hoodies, Halloween shirts. So cute! Not to mention the big purple blanket look. :)
The glow in the dark mini golf and the new game at the mall both sound like so much fun. All that as well as family time and donuts? Sounds like a perfect day!
Glad you got to spend time with Jess!
And now I'll quit commenting on this post. :)
The streamers are for a door like Easton and I do crepe paper. Thought these might be a little sturdier with a 19-month old. Great blog to see all my children (big and little)! Moo
His pumpkin is so cute!!
Glad you had a nice weekend with your sisters and mom! We've played golf at the glow in the dark place, but BubTar had a big "I can't win!" fit on the floor, so it was kind of cut short.
You and your couponing. LOL. It's fun isn't it! And the savings are just awesome. At CVS, it tells you how much you have spent and saved for the year. Mine....saved $1000 for 2008 and money spent $80. Sweet!
Glad you got some time with your sister!
