I Don't Think This Counts...

...as the first snow of the year:

But that's what we woke up to this morning. It has since melted away. Easton didn't think it would. He thought there would be plenty to play in. Oh well.

Instead we did what has seemingly become our Friday tradition of making muffins and then going to gymnastics. I had hoped to stop by McD's for their free McCafe drinks they were offering today but we didn't get out of the house on time. Oh well. Jason got one this morning so at least someone benefited.

Gymnastics was good. My normal friends (Emily's parents) weren't there for me to gab with so Dalton did a lot better with me hovering over him the entire time. Although someone told me they take their little one to the rec center's drop in daycare so they can watch their older kid. Next week is the last week for class but I'm now thinking about dropping D off for an hour. Just 'cause.

After class we drove allllll the way over by the airport for some McAlister's for lunch for me. Katie had to go and mention it on her blog the other day and I couldn't stop thinking about it. So we headed over there for lunch. Dalton refused to sit in the highchair. He kept shouting "Table! Table!" and wouldn't bend his legs. When I finally wrestled him into the chair he wouldn't stop crying. I hated giving in but the place wasn't exactly full of families. More business-lunchy types (and mostly men) so I let him sit in the booth instead. If our food was closer to arriving I might've had it packed to go or figured something out because I really didn't like letting him have his way but I cared more about not ruining everyone else's lunch just so I could satisfy my McAlister's craving.

And it was so good. I'm sipping my sweet tea as I type this. Ahhhh!

I have no clue what we'll do this afternoon other than maybe the grocery store for the fifth time this week. Unlike my grocery runs, I haven't been to Walgreens at all this week so I might try to figure out a deal or two with Money Saving Mom's help while the boys are in their rooms.

Yeah, that's what I think I'll do...have a good weekend!

In NC, that constitutes snow and we would be shut down for almost a week. Well.....almost. Our weather has been all rainy which is not helping Kaiya's jaundice.

I have never heard of McAllister's but I hope you enjoyed your meal.

I say it counts! Are you guys ready for a big snow yet? I know how much your boys (or at least Easton) enjoy playing in it.

Glad you had a yummy lunch. Love me some McAllister's! It's like when Kyla blogged about Olive Garden and I had to have it for dinner the next night. Once I hear about something yummy I can't get it out of my head. :)

That is all the snow we ever see here! Once every 10 years or so, too!

Sometimes giving in is less painful for everyone (especially those not involved, LOL). We've had to do this quite a bit with KayTar as there was such a loooong time she couldn't understand us. We stayed home an awful lot in those days.

What is McAllister's? We don't have it here.

Snow yay!! Hey, do you need an extra snow shovel? We just unpacked ours (the movers packed EVERYTHING) and, uh, we're not sure what to do with it...

I'd say that certainly constitutes for a first snow. My kids would be LOVING having that much snow to play in.

I must agree with you on McAllister's. However, I always get the same thing when I go. The BLT.

In Southern California, that counts! I have only seen it snow once here in my 35 years and that is about what we got. It was 2 years ago and I put the kids in their warmest clothes and made them go out to see it. Kya HATED it! I am hoping to go up to the mountains this year and let them experience 'real' snow and go sledding.

I will have to post pictures of "our snow storm". lol

Glad I could help you decide a place for lunch ;)

and ditto Jessica, that much snow would close school here. But you can keep it, I am so not a snow fan!
