Party Post

So, Easton's birthday party has now come and gone. We had it on Sunday the 13th and it was a hit. Everyone and their mother (and father--and sibling if they had one, two of 'em have siblings on the outside now and two have siblings in the belly still) showed up. As well as Gramoo & Lauren and Grammy & Grandpa John.

Easton had been looking forward to his Chuck E. Cheese Toy Story party for quite some time now. We got there and got his cake ready. Just a boring lemon cake (E picked it) but we added some Toy Story figures on top:

Then his friends started arriving and we gave out tokens and everyone just kind of did their own thing. My mom and Lauren were great and helped out taking both my boys around so that I could try to sort of be a hostess.

We didn't book an official party through Chuck E. Cheese so there wasn't someone there to be the organizer for us. Not that I really did much...but anyhoo...

I love this one of Easton checking out something or other:

And Dalton got in on the fun too:

At one point Easton was driving that bus with Ellis as the "passenger" and I swear they did that at least 4 times back to back. Crazy kids.

We had pizza on the tables but people kind of just ate whenever...it was fine with us, hope the guests were okay with that too. Then Jason went to try to round people up for cake.

I love this picture because I felt like I didn't get much more time with Easton than this while we were there:

He got all 3 candles in just one try!

Probably helps that I positioned them bowling pin style.

Enjoying his lemon cake:

Time for presents!

He scored some really great stuff...he's got some generous friends and family!

Dalton and I took a self-portrait as we looked on:

I didn't know Jason had snapped the cake pictures so I wanted to make sure there was at least some proof I was there that day. Ha!

So the kids all ran off again after that and did their own things and after awhile people began clearing out of our group. Easton and Lauren were out and about and I caught up with them just as the employees tossed a bunch of tickets around for the kids to scrounge for:

He put them in Lauren's pocket for safe-keeping and craked both her and I up when he sent her on her way with a pat-pat on the rear!

After the last of our guests said their good-byes we packed up ourselves:

Both boys fell asleep on the way home. That 15 minutes was the only nap Dalton took allllll day! We kept trying later but he wasn't having it. And as I carried Easton up to his bed he told me, "I just don't want to take a nap" and woke up happily to play with his new toys. Guess Dalton had similar things in mind.

It was a good party, if you ask me!

Sounds like fun was had by all. I always have the slightly dazed/exhausted/overwhelmed/was I even there? feeling after CEC parties. Whew.

Yay for fun parties! So glad everyone had such a good time. Can't believe Dalton was such a sport and only napped for 15 minutes. He definitely didn't want to miss out on all the fun!

In that one picture of Easton 'checking things out' you can almost see that little tongue poking out. Maybe he picked that up from Adam? :)

I can't believe how blue your eyes look in that picture of you and Dalton...wow!

And speaking of "wow"...Moo is looking fantastic!

That looked and sounded like so much fun. Glad to hear it was smashing hit! Loved the pics of E....you can tell he was having a great time at his party.

BTW..Lemon cake is one of my favorites. Good choice E :)

Loved all the pictures. I really liked how you showed all his friends- then and now. You are so organized and I swear you must have a time shifter (ya know that thing Hermonie used in HP) because I have no idea how you have TWO kiddos and still can do all this. Anyhow, Eastie's party looked fun...I think I had a Chucky Cheese party when I was little.
