Poor little guys. On Saturday morning we were starting to get concerned as the clock neared 8:00 and we had yet to hear from Easton. Eek! He called shortly after 8 a.m. and first thing when I went into his room he let me know, "I'm siiiiiiick." We had plans to go down to Gramoo's and I asked if he still wanted to. He said, "Yeah, she'll know what to do."
So, we all drove down. My mom and I went to a craft fair. We went last year too and I just love going. I never buy anything because I keep thinking, "I should learn how to do that myself". But my mom more than makes up for it, and she shares! I brought home two half loaves of bread, a jar of the most delicious peanut butter you've ever had, two pairs of earrings, and the cutest notecards ever for Easton's future thank you notes. Good times. And good inspiration. Last year this craft fair inspired me to take my beading class I took (and later forgot what I'd learned). This year I think it's inspiring me to learn to sew. But that means I have to inspire my mom to teach me. :)
Anyway, after the craft fair my mom and I came back. Jason watched the boys at her house, gave them lunch, and got Dalton down for a nap. Then with Dalton down Jason and I had Movie Tavern plans. Easton and Gramoo made chocolate suckers with Diddles out of the way. Jason and I saw the latest Seth Rogen movie, I don't necessarily recommend it. It was a little too crude, even for us. But still, we always love getting away from the boys for a bit for some couple time.
After the movie, Jason was on media lock down. He had the very important LSU/Alabama game TiVo'd at home and was so nervous that the outcome would be ruined for him. We packed up our stuff and the boys quickly at Gramoo's and left for home. We discovered Dalton had a fever. And Easton fell asleep basically as soon as we hit the road. He did let us know that he wanted "flapjacks" for dinner. He has taken to calling pancakes that now.
Dalton was a grump with his fever but with some meds in both boys they both somehow slept through the night. Hooray!
On Sunday I ended up going to church rather than Jason. It was the very same church we started our search at this time last year. I'd been feeling like maybe I should give it another chance. I had thought it cheesy but sometimes church just is. And their main pastor has one of those "professional televangelist" speaking voices which I have a hard time with. They seem so fake. But, I was really glad I went back. Jason might go one more time or we might just start going as a family. I'm not certain just yet. And we have a couple weeks to figure it out because next week is when Easton sings at church and the following week we are having Sunday brunch with my sister who will be in town. Holla!
Sunday afternoon found us with nothing to do so after naps and quiet time we went to the cool park as a family:
We came home and I made manicotti for dinner. I told Easton they were giant tortellinis. He loves tortellini, and therefore took a big mouthful of my manicotti but it about made him yak. At least he tried it.
Today Dalton finally woke up with cold symptoms. Other than his fever Saturday afternoon he's been pretty much okay. We knew it was coming though. No matter. We did our Monday usuals of Krispy Kreme and Wal-Mart. We've also already picked up TinkerBell as our free Redbox for today. I'm gonna make 4 pans of enchiladas later(freezing 3) while the boys hopefully watch that.
And on that note I think I'll go...it's about 1:30 my time and I need to pray some more for a friend about to go into surgery. Talk to y'all later!

ughh. SUCKS that the boys are sick. We're sick over here too. :(
Great pics. I love the one of E in the yellow tunnel or whatever it was. Very cute :)
I don't know how we've ecscaped the sickies so far. Hope both your boys are back to 100% soon.
The craft fair sounds like lots of fun, but I don't think I would have been able to keep my wallet put away like you. :)
Love the park pictures too. Family park outings are one of my favorite things to do.
I love the post title and the first picture. Very cute. Your mom must take really great care of Easton when they are together for him to be willing to go down there sick and all. I am so jealous.
Also, wait til you see what I am trying to make with Izzy. It is nothing fancy, but it had me making a comment to Pete that my next project will be sewing. So funny that you are inspired to do it. As much as I would love to...I know it won't happen!
Lastly, ...well darn, I can't remember what I was going to say????
They are even cute when they are sick :)
Sorry the boys are sick! What a bummer. You guys sure do a lot, even when sick. We are total homebodies if someone is sick..and someone is sick an awful lot of the time. LOL.
Hope the church works out!
Looks like you have some fun this weekend. More FUN than my sitting on my hiney.
Yay for couples time. Gotta make time for that.
You got some awesome pictures of the boy's at the park. There were several pictures that were just too adorable.
And thanks for the prayers :-)
Awww, that post title and first picture were so sad! Your boys are adorable though. Hope everyone is 100 percent again soon.
