We May as Well Go Ahead and Paint the Nursery...

Last night we met Jason for dinner at PF Changs. When I cracked open my fortune cookie this is what I saw:
Photobucket

I didn't even bother to read the actual fortune printed on the other side (still haven't!) because of the craziness of the Chinese word that caught my eye first.

(My other cookie's word was "Pumpkin"--a possible nickname??? :) Jason's said "Wait" and "Today". Ha!)

No, I don't believe fortune cookies. Just in case any of you thought I might be like that which would show how well you don't know me, even with my many years of blogging from the heart. :)

Dinner last night was good. Two different tables actually stopped us to tell us how well behaved our boys were. Jason and I were like, "Are they serious?" because the boys were sort of driving us crazy! But no, one couple was out on a date away from their 17 month old triplets and actually seemed to be trying to get parenting advice from us. As in, "How are you doing such a great job that they behave so well at restaurants? Do you eat dinner as a family every night--some people don't." I assured her that if I had even two the same age it would be a much harder task. She asked teething and date night advice too. Jason was proud of himself at first for being so social but when the lady just kept talking and talking to us he was like, "Okay, enjoy your date. Don't talk to us." Hee hee.

PF Chang's is at one of our mall's so after dinner we did a little bit of shopping and exchanging and letting the boys run. We got home past bedtime so the boys skipped their baths and went straight to bed. A late night nearly always means an earlier than normal morning for our house, but not today. Somehow Dalton made it till 7:45 and Easton not till after 8:00!!! Hooray.

The boys and I went to get bagels and did even more shopping this morning before coming home for a light lunch (they were full of bagel) and nap/quiet time.

I think the library awaits us this afternoon.

Oh YUMMY!!!!!! We still have a GC to PF's that we can't use until one of the gma's comes into town so we'll have a babysitter. haha!! and how funny about the cookie! Ya never know! ;)
I had someone tell me the other day while we were out eating that the boys were well behaved and I think I ended up looking at them like they were crazy...b/c the boys were about to drive me up the wall while we were there. HAHA!
Yay for shopping too! Did you get a chance to go by ON? I'll be going there on Sunday...so just let me know! :)

The fortune cookie thing is way crazy. If it ends up being a girl, you have to nickname her Pumpkin. That's like a rule now or something.

That's awesome that you got kiddo compliments at dinner. I love it when that happens, although these days I usually get complimented on their behavior when we're grocery shopping. Must be because we're all so happy to be at the Neighborhood Market (a.k.a. our home away from home)! :)

Save that fortune for the baby book, just in case. LOL.

I think it is easier to appreciate a kid's behavior if you aren't in charge of them. If they are your kids, they might be behaving, but only because you have to keep reminding them to!
