I took that one of me with my 'nilla and once the boys woke up we took a bunch more. Note to self: next time you take a bunch o' pictures of yourself at least do something with your hair--messy ponytail not looking good. Okay, so Dalton and I were playing and Easton decided he wanted in too so he squeezed in between us:
Some kisses for my guys:
Some smiles:
Check out poor Dizzle lying on the floor in the background.
Smiles by themselves:
Easton and "The Man" (from his Legos...as in, "I like the man"):
Am I wrong for saying that I don't like how much his gums show in that picture? Oh well.
Dalton and The Mom:
So now we've got the pictures out of the way...what's the latest? Well, another horrendous night with Dalton last night. It frustrates me to no end, especially at the time. Last night he started up just as I was trying to go to sleep. I made Jason stop doing his homework and come upstairs to listen to me vent about it. What a guy! He tended to Dalton and sat in the hall with the laptop to keep working so I wouldn't have to deal with getting up again and again till later. Yes, he kept it up all night just like the night before. I'm really hoping it's just because he's still sick. A coughing fit woke him one of the times...then I feel bad. Still. Of course I'm not mad at Dalton, I'm mad at me. And the situation. I just find it so frustrating that he's regressed so much in his sleeping habits. That makes me feel like it's something I'm doing wrong...he was sleeping such long stretches at a pretty young age (especially for a breastfed baby) and now this. Grrr. Anyhoo...
My latest Easton worries? I'm a big worrier if you guys didn't know this about me already. It's a fault but there's no changing it. Anyway, I was watching that video of him from the other day (it should work now for those of you trying to see it). His pronunciation is not the greatest and I don't know if it's normal or if I should worry. My sister who knows about such things says not to worry yet. It's just that some of the kids we're around are verbal prodigies and so I have a hard time figuring out what is "normal". Then I made the mistake of mentioning the concern to my mom (also an admitted "worst case scenario" worrier) and now I don't know what to think. I'm still trying not to worry. Especially since he recently seemed to forget how to answer "Who/what/why/etc." questions. He used to do better. Now his answer for some NON yes/no questions is "Yes". "Easton, who was at Gym today?" "Yes". "WHO was at Gym? WHO?" "Yes." Or, "Why did you bonk your brother?" "Yes." Ugh. He used to do better than that. All his recent head injuries must've knocked that ability out of his head or something. 'Kay, not really. Jason thought it was hilarious yesterday. I was worried but Jason's laughing like that makes me laugh too. I said, "Don't encourage him" (answering yes) and J said, "He doesn't know what I'm laughing at" but Easton DID. He started saying "YES!" and faking a laugh at himself. Ugh. I didn't exactly think being a mommy would be easy or anything but I was expecting to worry about other stuff than my son forgetting how to answer questions.
Oh, and for about 10 minutes yesterday I was worried Easton had broken his collar bone. He fell off the back of his green chair and grabbed his other arm right away. I spent some time doing my athletic training/EMT assessments on him and I guess he's fine. He seemed fine about 2 minutes after it happened and certainly seems fine today. Although my mom likes to tell the story about how when I broke my arm I was still whacking my little sister with the affected limb as we waited to get the x-rays taken. I still think he's fine.
We went to Circle Time this morning. Nothing exciting to report from that other than we checked out Nemo and he is very excited. Easton went right down for his nap and I'm currently "fighting" with Dalton to go back to sleep too. This afternoon my mom and sister are coming and we're taking Easton to Build-a-Bear. They gave him a gift card for Easter but since it was from them I wanted them to come do it with him too. I don't know how Easton'll do but it'll be nice to have another sleep friend to threaten to take away. Kidding. Well, sort of.
Anyhoo...that's all from our end. Adios!

Happiness Is...
The first few sips of Vanilla Coke.
It's back!!! After being gone for a year and a half they brought back our favorite carbonated beverage: Vanilla Coke! Mmmmm. I saw it on the shelf yesterday at Wal-Mart and almost did a happy dance right there in the aisle. Jason and I are huge Vanilla Coke fans. We went to their website last night and it is indeed back. Yay! We love it so much that last night he confessed to trying to buy some on ebay awhile back (as a gift) but it got too expensive. Ha! Last time we knew they were discontinuing it so we bought a few packs. We drank the last one as my sugary caffiene on our way to my 18 week "big" ultrasound to find out if Dalton was a boy or a girl. It was a bottled one and was kinda flat by then.
Anyway...you can tell how happy this makes me since I just devoted so much time talking about it and snapped a picture of myself drinking it.
But that's not why you came...the boys...well, Easton is being a good breakfast eater this week. Monday was the nearly 2 doughnuts, Tuesday he ate almost 2 Eggo waffles, and today he had 4 small bowls of cereal. This is very impressive, people. It's Easton we're talking about, after all. Here is Mr. Sticky Fingers during yesterday's waffles. He's trying to slime me:
He is continuing to amuse me. Like yesterday, I mixed him some milk with his Carnation Instant Breakfast like always and gave it to him in his sippy. He wandered back over to me and said, "It's good milk, Mama". But of course! When we were getting him dressed yesterday I pulled out a hand-me-down shirt from Max (it's green) and he told me. "I like green" and then for his jeans he said, "Oh, I like blue pants" and I said, "They're called jeans" and he said, "I like jeans". Well, I'm glad.
He's getting smarter too. Sometimes I'll tell him something, "Easton, you may not kick the wall at nap time" and then I'll go, "Do you understand?" Well, he always used to say yes (or nothing at all if he was feeling defiant). Now he's on to me and when I say something like that and ask if he understands he's started saying, "No". Oh I think you do, my friend. Only someone who really understands would know to say "no". Goob. He was rolling around on the floor like a loon the other day and I asked, "Why are you rolling like that, Bud?" and he answered, "'cause". Ha! We never ever talk like that so...he's learning things elsewhere again. I thought it was funny.
What other Eastie funnies? Oh...sometimes (like all of us) he'll bite his tongue or cheek and that hurts so to give him something to do about it I've said, "Here...take a sip of cool milk and that will help". Well, now he's taken to putting milk on various other minor bonks as well. He pretends (thank goodness!) and will hold the cup over the "owie" site and go "Psssssh" like he's pouring some out. Then magically he's better. Whatever works, dude. He really is quite amusing to me. And his brother. Dalton just loves to watch him. Yesterday I put Dalton facing forward in the Snugli for the first time. Both boys really liked that. Dizz could look around and at Easton sitting in the cart in front of him. Easton liked it too.
On the way out a woman was standing outside her car, on her phone, and smoking and she was like, "Oh my gosh! Do you need a tissue?" and I was puzzled until she said, "He's got boogers allllll over your thing (the Snugli)". How long had he been like that? Eew. And how embarassing. I couldn't help but laugh out loud (seriously...I'm not just "LOLing" here, people) all the way to my car--and my box of tissues. Poor Dalton.
Last night was horrendous with Dalton. I'm hoping it's just because he's still a little sick or because he didn't get enough naps (strange but true theory). I put him to bed at 8:25 and snuck his pacifier out. He stirred a few more times shortly thereafter and we'd give it to him for a few and take it back out again. I'd say by 8:30 he was asleep. 45 minutes later...guess who? Dizzle needs the paci briefly again and we sneak it back out...again. As we were trying to fall asleep last night it's him again (11:50). I try and try with just the pacifier but he won't let me sneak it back out without getting all cranky about it so I decided to nurse him instead.
2:10--pacifier
2:17--pacifier
3:24--pacifier
3:46--pacifier
4:05--nurse
5:16--pacifier
5:54--pacifier and flip him to his other side
7:02--pacifier (I'm already up by this time, though)
7:41--pacifier
8:30--up for the day
Good heavens! I am a firm believer that babies his age have a need to suck and I also firmly believe that I don't always want to be what he sucks on. Personal preference. So...the paci it is...Good thing he's not usually so restless at night. That's also why we sneak that pacifier back out of his mouth so he's not used to "needing" it (or nursing) to fall asleep. Will my sleep troubles ever end? :)
Today was Gym...the question of the day was "What is your favorite sport?" Easton did not know what this meant. So, when it was his turn I said, "Do you like baseball?" and he said "Yes". When it was another kid's turn, Easton answered "football" for him. Goob. He did very well with everything else. He totally has the hang of following his teachers' directions. He is so good.
My mommy friend Susannah (Max's mom) said, "All kids seem to have their "thing"...like Easton is a good listener but he doesn't eat (true 'dat!). Max isn't the best listener but he's a great sleeper (and eater)." Hmmmm. She may be on to something. And all this time I'm thinking I have something to do with how he is. Who knows? I'm sure it's a combination of parenting and temperment. I'm just glad I'm happy with my kid...most of the time. Being a parent really made me understand "unconditional love". Being married once before I don't feel you can love your spouse completely unconditionally...or maybe just not the spouse I had ;) 'Cause I certainly don't love him anymore...but nothing will ever make me stop loving these boys. And they didn't do anything special to get my unconditional love which is pretty cool too. Forget the Vanilla Coke...happiness is being a family.
The end.

By Easton
We're just sitting here waiting for ol' Dizzle to wake up so we can go get our groceries. This morning Easton told me "Want to go shopping" so I told him we could go after his nap...he doesn't need to know I was planning on it anyway.
So, my mom asked in her comment about how the boys are feeling. They seem mostly fine in their attitudes and activities and such but they've got boogie noses and coughs. The coughs are worse than they were a few days ago. Oh well. I'm not sweating it this time although the extra phlegm seems to make Dalton spit up even more (if that's possible) and Easton even yakked at dinner on Monday. Otherwise they're pretty unscathed. Yay.
Dalton woke up so late yesterday that he was still down for his first nap when Easton went down for his nap. So I had enough time to do yesterday's blog and then Dalton woke up and we had some lovely one-on-one time. He did some tummy time:
And the extreme close-ups are always fun:
Since he's a good stander I propped him against Easton's chair:
After all that stimulation he sometimes needs a minute to relax and re-center. So I hold him real close and he sucks on his paci for a bit till he's ready for more:
And once Easton woke up too...I had to discourage (BAN!) this game:
That's a chair heading for the opened basement door. I did however let him do this one a few times:
How have we managed to avoid the emergency department so far?
Anyway...
The other night Jason encouraged another rousing round of "I see bread people" only this time with other foods and he got Easton to eat a TON. Here are a few highlights:
And with that I gotta run...The Dizz-man is up and it's time for milk and Wal-Mart. Bye!
Monday, June 04, 2007
Oh my...Easton soooo woke up on the wrong side of bed this morning. It was awful at first. Tantruming right off the bat. He kept screaming for no good reason so for that (and to hopefully help him calm down) he earned himself a timeout. As I was carrying him downstairs to his timeout spot he kept yelling, "Want down! Want down!" at me and at one point took my face in his hands to make me look at him to tell me, "Want down!" Wonder where he got that from? :)
It took awhile but eventually I helped him calm down and we went on to have quite a lovely morning together. Dalton has been asleep for a lot of it, of course. Once D woke for the day (almost 9:00!) we made our weekly doughnut run. As we were pulling through the drive-through Easton said, "Want sprinkles, Mama". How do kids just seem to know that "kids like sprinkles"? Anyway, last week he told me he wanted sprinkles but it was after I had already ordered our plain glazed ones. I told him, "I'm sorry, bud, I didn't order any sprinkles" and being very understanding he said, "Maybe next time." So today was "next time" and he got his sprinkles and ate one of those and almost another whole plain one. Yay!
He has been quite amusing lately. Kids really do say the darndest things. For example, the other day he climbed up to peek through our little "portal" that separates the kitchen from the living room.
Jason was on the kitchen side and Easton was on the other and once Easton climbed up he "ordered" some "tiny apples". When I saw him he was saying, "Want tiny eggs. Want tiny bananas." Tiny? Where on earth did he get that from?
This one isn't quite as interesting but I'll share anyway...he was eating his yogurt and watching Little Einsteins. June was "doing her favorite thing in the whole world" (dancing) and so I asked Easton, "What's your favorite thing in the whole world?" just to see what he'd say or if he even understood. He told me, "I like the man" (his little Lego dude).
In fact, little Lego man--he has two and says the big ones "name is Daddy" and the little one is Easton--anyway, one of them is his napping companion of choice today. We like him to take something to bed so that when he's being rowdy and not sleeping we can threaten to take it away. Usually works. We're so mean. I took it away from him yesterday and put it on top of a framed picture hanging above his bed. He reached up on his tippy toes to tip the frame to get Man to fall off! All while he was supposed to be napping. He is very very quiet about all of this. We're not sure if he napped at all yesterday. I think he woke up after 30 minutes and was done. Then he still took forever going to sleep last night.
He and Daddy did some tee ball in the backyard:
The set (Big Lots) is crap and we're taking it back.
Then check out Dalton:
Yesterday I noticed his foot "stuck" under the tray like that so I moved it for him and he put it right back. Apparently he likes hooking his toe on the edge. What a goob!
The boys being brotherly:
Well I finished "The Pursuit of Happyness". Meh. I hope the movie is better. I've just started "Time Traveler's Wife" so I'm excited about that. Oop, Dalton is waking and I should peek to see if Easton is getting into any mischief or actually sleeping. Toodles!

Tagged Again...by AJ
So my pal AJ has tagged me for another exciting round of "7 Things Most People Don't Know About Me". While it's always hard to come up with anything I really enjoy reading what others have to say. So, I'll give it another go and AJ says, "maybe you'll learn a thing or two about me."
7 Things Most People Don't Know About Me 1. I was accepted to Dartmouth but sadly elected to follow my high school sweetheart to Colorado Tech (Go Raptors!) instead.
2. In 1992 I made 3rd chair All Colorado Honor Band on the piccolo fife.
3. I received an Honorable Mention ribbon at a 4H crowbar skills competition.
4. I severed my frenulum in a snowboarding accident in Breckenridge. (Who knew that would take 12 stitches? Ouch!)
5. I flunked out of flight attendant school for hitting my head on one too many overhead compartments.6. I once hobo'ed my way to Santa Fe with just $25 in my pocket and a fifth of whiskey in my backpack. I traded a carton of cigarettes for this old Schwinn:
7. After doing many, many of these open-ended "tell us something" tags I decided to let my hilariously random husband fill in the first 6 spots this time around.
Aren't we fun? He came up with them so quickly as he made our dinner. There's even more that we had to weed through...here are the "deleted scenes", if you will:
- I spent a semester at sea off the coast of Tierra del Fuego (the tip of South America) studying belugas.
- I published a ficitional short story (under a pen name) titled "The Man from Appalachia".
- My ex-husband and I were just a business loan away from starting a cucumber and pickle farm.
- An unfortunate case of mono kept me from appearing as an extra in the movie "Boogie Nights".
- After seeing G.I. Jane 7 times in the theater I actually shaved my head for that summer. The original reason he came up with was to be in a Nazi heavy metal band in high school.
When I came back from rocking Dalton tonight Jason said, "I found some pictures for you" and so I had those to add to my post too. We just sat here giggling at ourselves so even if you don't think it's all that funny at least we had a good time.
I bet my family was reading this going "What the...?" "When did she...?" Good times. Good times. Like when I "got" them with J's April Fools joke too.
Anyway...some truths: I went to all four years of college at the University of Colorado, I never even bothered applying to Dartmouth and though I did have a high school sweetheart (he was 3 years older though, so not actually in high school with me) I didn't follow him anywhere. And, I'm pretty sure Jason made up the "piccolo fife" although I did play some flute in elementary school. Crowbar skills? Nah...although the picture was convincing, eh? I've never tried snowboarding so maybe #4 is more along the lines of a prediction. I actually flunked out of flight attendant school but not for the reason I said. Okay, not really...there was never flight attendant school in my past...or future. And I would never hitch hike nor would I ever pick one up. So I didn't hobo anywhere.
From the deleted scenes...well, I don't know much about whales other than what I've seen at Sea World. No semester at sea for me, although I did go on a cruise once in high school. Fictional short story? The above blogging is about as fictional as I can get--and it wasn't even me! Although I did have mono when I was 16.
But, here are 7 Real Things. Just 'cause I like to play along. Nothing is deep or all that interesting since I run out of stuff and since even though I'm a pretty open book I can't share all the really deep dark secrets (Bwah ha ha ha!). So some smaller one that I just thought of:
1. I once auditioned for a TV pilot called "Family Jewels" on a dare from my step-dad at the time. We sent in my little résumé and picture and we got a call. I got a new outfit and a haircut for my big reading. When I got there all the other girls had long hair and I had just cut mine off for the audition. I'm pretty sure that's the only reason I didn't get called back :) Of course I sucked.
2. I created a MySpace account the other day for the sole purpose of seeing what Spanky from the 1994 Little Rascals movie looks like now that he's "grown up" (18). In case you wanted to know, despite his acting stint he's just like the rest of us now making an honest living working nights at Wal-Mart, going to community college to better himself, and posting inappropriate pictures of his girlfriend on his MySpace page. I admit, I had a little too much time on my hands.
3. I think Moe from the Doodlebops is kind of cute. I like his breakdancing.

4. In 5th grade I kicked a 6th grade boy (Joe Chang) and made him cry. I don't remember all the details but it was in Miss Blanco's classroom and there were cupcakes present.
5. I'm afraid of potty training. I soooo do not want to deal with accidents in public. Ugh. Nor do I want to drop everything and rush to find a nasty public potty with my two sons. Ick. I struggle with all the "cons" I hear about Pull-Ups and the like too. So with all that and him not being too into the potty it's no wonder we haven't tried any "training". Even though Easton is often a show-offy people-pleaser he does not seem to feel that way about doing anything in the potty yet. Grrr.
6. I like doing laundry. I like sorting it all out and washing it and deciding what to line dry and what to put in the dryer. I don't like folding it and putting it away quite as much as the getting it clean part.
Borrowing a bit from AJ...
7. I have a bad burping habit. Very unlady-like. Always have been. Of course, not around everyone.
That's it. Nothing great I know but it's all I've got tonight. Tune in for more regulary scheduled ramblings tomorrow.
Both boys are indeed mildly ill. This time they came down with it at the exact same time as opposed to Easton giving it to Dalton a few days into things. I wonder where they picked it up this time. Germs are fun, aren't they?
So...where did we last leave off? After naps on Friday I took the boys to the post office for some 2 cent stamps so we could use up our remaning 37 and 39 centers. Yes, we still have 37 cent stamps. With online bill paying or credit card over the phone options we don't mail a whole lot...and I never did do those Dalton birth announcements...yet! We did the post office and then I decided to go get Easton a milkshake and we went to the cool park. That was fun but at the same time it was kinda sad. I often go up on the apparatus with him but I had D in the stroller and couldn't. I pushed E on the swings for a long time like he likes and he played around on the structure for a bit before going, "Mama come too?" He understood. He's a trooper that way. I still felt bad.
That night for dinner I picked up some take-out for myself since Jason went to a celebration at work and wasn't too hungry.
The boys also got a package from The Alabamaws. That is always fun. Dalton got this soft baseball rattle (a very cute outfit too!) so here is Easton helping Dalton to put it on his wrist:
Well, Friday night Jason and I had movie night plans. DVDs at home...not "leave the house" for a date type stuff. We had Hollywoodland from Netflix and Monsters, Inc. from the library. So we decided to preview Monsters for Easton to see if we thought it was appropriate for him yet or not...I know it's Disney but still...he's only 2. We didn't want him being scared of anything at bedtime. Just getting him to sleep is hard enough. Well, not even 5 minutes in we decided we didn't want him seeing it just yet but we were going to finish it for ourselves. Poor stay-up-late-every-night J fell asleep! The DVD crapped out about halfway through anyway. That's free library stuff for ya...
Anyway, Saturday morning we went to Cracker Barrell for breakfast. Easton can really chow down on the pancakes these days. We love it. We were near the cool park again and thought we'd take him back but there seemed to be some "event" going on there so we went to a different park instead where we still had tons o' fun.
We got home and I got D down for a nap and it was almost E's naptime too. Nothing J couldn't handle so I set back out for Kohl's to make some returns and exchanges. Well, apparently Easton had a hard time going down for his nap and kept whining for me. He turns into a bit of a mama's boy when he's sick, poor dude. J got E down and peeked in at Dalton who was happily wide awake after his 45 minute snooze. So J got him up to play and then Easton woke up after his first sleep cycle crying for me again. It was apparently quite an ordeal and Jason finally thought to take Easton to the garage and show him that my car was gone and I was simply not there. He was able to calm down and go back to sleep after alllll that. Then J got Dalton back down too. I was none the wiser out and about having some MORE time to myself. What a star daddy, eh? All that would have likely worn me out but he still had a smile when I came home.
So, since Easton seemed to be needed some more mama time I decided I'd take him out to Target, just me and E. He seemed to like this idea pretty well. Before we left Jason said, "If you want to make it even more special you can take him out for ice cream." So that's what we did. We went to the craft store for a project or two then Target for stuff just for E. Nothing exciting: his vitamins, diapers, and lots of yogurts. He started whining for milk (which is at home, of course) and I said, "We can go home for milk or we can go get ice cream". Truly my son he chose ice cream. In the car on the way he told me, "I want chocolate chip" which was very bizarre as we NEVER have had chocolate chip ice cream. I didn't even know he knew that was a choice. I was able to talk him into the green chocolate chip (mint) and we shared a cone:
What fun.
When we got home the other half of the family was doing well too:
Jason was in the midst of heating up a bottle. He said, "Rather than call I just decided to be independent." So Dizz had a bottle with Dad:
Go J go! And it was very nice having just me and E time again.
Dalton had a rough night last night...well he made it rough on us...he woke every hour and a half. I fed him every other time without really determining if he was hungry or not. That meant he nursed 3 times before he woke up for the day. The other two times he woke I sent J in for pacifying purposes. That's what he gets for doing such a good job when I'm not home...I send him in at night too!
Um...what else? One of the things in Easton's package from The Maws was a Nick Jr. DVD with a bunch of differnt episodes from some of their TV shows. Dora is one of them and Easton headed upstairs (where the DVD was) tucked himself into our bed and shouted down to us, "Want to watch Dora!"
And some cute stuff of Dizzle's active bathtime. That kid just loves his baths:
Video proof:
Today we've just hung out at home. Nothing fancy. I dressed Easton up like a cowboy. He's sort of supposed to be Woody from Toy Story (his current fave flick):
And a cute one of Dalton snuggling with his pops.
When he went down for his nap later he had a button imprint on his cheek from J's shirt.
Well folks, I think that oughta do it for today. Hope everyone had a nice weekend!

Zoo Scoop
So we did make it to the zoo but my camera kept wonking out on me so I didn't get too many pictures. I think it was just the batteries but I had gotten them fresh from the charger right before we left so I dunno...
Completely by accident I dressed Easton in the exact same outfit he wore last time we went zooing. Although the hat is different. Whoops. Here he is as we're just getting going and discovering the camera problem:
Notice the sunglasses outside the hat? At least he's not wearing socks with sandals.
Usually when we go to the zoo I have the bad habit of going to the right...the elephants (my favorites) are right there so that's just what we usually do. Yesterday, however, we went left. They were remodeling all the big cat stuff so we didn't see much other than a pacing leopard and then we made it to the polar bears:
Next came some river otters swimming around which Easton liked and thought they were like Tasha (the hippo from Backyardigans only because of one episode where she is a swimming mermaid). So...we watched the swimming and moved over to the sea lions which were frolicking in the water as well. They were quite entertaining from above but we went below to watch them swim more. I kept warning Easton when one would swim by but he got annoyed at me and wanted to tell me when they were coming instead. He did quite well, actually. Taking off his "guh gahs" for a better look:
And me and Dizz (his 2nd zoo trip...outside my belly anyway):
I wore a hat instead of sunscreen because I really needed my hair pulled back. Apparently a certain little someone yakked in my hair. I thought it was on my robe but once I got dressed the pukey smell lingered. So...I just moved it further away from my face.
Mom's eye view:
Still sea lion watching (you can see his cheek bruise just to the right of his mouth...his left, our right):
At that point I gave up on the camera and stashed it in my bag and just lived the moments rather than recording them.
The zoo was relatively deserted when we arrived (nice!) and it wasn't too hot out. The zoo was nice and shaded. Ahhhh. Easton and I decided to make it a special day and we shared an ice cream cone before heading onward. For the first time he'd ask me, "What's that called, Mama?" while pointing to something or other. That was fun. Then we passed the carousel and he told me, "Want to ride that, Mama". For just a buck-fifty for all 3 of us (the boys are free) I figured, "What the heck?" and we rode. Easton walked around the outside carefully scoping out each animal to ride on before settling on a leopard ("the orange one"). He had fun. On his way up I'd sometimes ask for a kiss which he thought was quite funny rather than annoying.
After the carousel I asked Easton if he wanted to ride in the stroller again or walk. He chose walk so I put Dalton in the stroller and we headed over to visit the monkeys. Easton remembered his orangutany friend from before. Actually when I asked him if he wanted to go to the zoo he said, "The monkey get you" which really meant "The monkey get me (Easton)". He was cute: I asked what animals he wanted to see and he said, "Zebras...and some birds...and some monkeys". I just thought the "some" parts were amusing.
Since I didn't get many pictures to share here is a video repeat from last May (the 27th) when we went with Jason:
It is quite disturbing...today I got an email saying tamponn has subscribed to my YouTubes. Eek! I don't know any tamponns. I'll have to experiment with the "private" setting now. Why is she subscribing to my stuff?
So the boys both woke up slightly sick today. It's probably the plague. Not really. But all joking aside a monkey at the Denver Zoo was recently found dead of the Bubonic Plague. A bunch of squirrels in that area have been found with it so there were all kinds of signs yesterday saying not to touch or feed the cute bunnies and squirrels that roam about the grounds. Yikes! Not that I would ever touch them...
But Dalton started coughing in the night. Just a little. And Easton is getting stuffy and coughing a little too. Grrr. I think they got sick the day after we went to the zoo last time. Not that it's from the zoo...it's too soon to be zoo germs, right? But just an interesting coincidence.
We just hung around the house this morning...I was a little slow getting started for some reason. Time got away from me because I had both boys dressed and ready to go out when I realized it was time to give Easton his pre-nap yogurt. So we did that instead and we'll go out later. Whoops.
I'm looking forward to the weekend because Jason won't be working like last weekend. We have no plans yet but it's nice to have him around a little more.
I feel like I had more to say but I can't think of it so I'll just go now. Except I changed my slideshow to June of last year. I guess I forgot May. Oops. And I removed J's music video. It had been there awhile. 'Kay that's all. Talk to you all later!
