Wasn't that the name of some movie? "ED" is also how the Maws sometimes refer to E and D. And they were on TV today. Yup, they're famous. We did something kind of fun...we woke up bright and early and headed to the gym where we go for Gymsters. Mr. Ken called on Friday and begged for people to come be in the media spot they were doing on the local morning news. So we went. And we were on TV. We were on TV way more than I thought and when I don't know I'm on camera I realized that I slouch and that I fuss with my hair a lot. I'm so annoying. Anyway, here are some still shots so you know what you're looking for:
Me and E in line for the space flight...
Dalton's seat, with a sleeping Dalton inside...
Easton showing us himself hanging for the camera...
Me messing with his hair and slouching while I don't know we're on...
And, if you're interested I took videos with our camera of the TiVo'd show. I edited it down to parts we're in and it's pretty poor quality but if you want to look...click here.
It was fun, Mr. Ken kept using the older kids (who should've been in school!!) for his example students. Oh well. Easton didn't care, he just wanted to play. The high energy hostie guy wasn't quite like that when the camera was off. He left to sit in his van between live feeds and came back reeking of cigarettes. Healthy. Although we ate doughnuts in between spots. Hey, it's what they gave us. But, I certainly wasn't complaining.
The downside of being on the morning news is having to wake Easton up before he was ready. He has been a crankpot ever since we got home. We got home late last night so he was obviously late getting to bed, then I woke him this morning. Hopefully his nap will be long and rejuvenating so he'll be a nice boy again. He had to have 2 time-outs before his nap. But, sometimes that's the price you have to pay for being in the media spotlight. :)
Well, as far as Easter yesterday there is SOOOOO much to cover. It might take awhile to get all the pictures and videos I want to share. Although, I did make this montage (warning--it is about 5 minutes long so you have to really like us to want to watch it, ha ha):
But, of course it doesn't have everything. I don't love the song I chose and I don't like that it plays loudly over the videos to where you can't really hear them but oh well. What's done is done, right? I should say, I do like the song I chose...but I don't like it for this montage. But there's not a lot of choice when it comes to Easter music, ya know? So we went for springy music but it just doesn't fit like I like it to. Oh well.
So, Easter morning started pretty early like days 'round here often do. Dalton was still sleeping so we were able to stall Easton a little by turning on Curious George on DVD and all snuggling in the bed. Once Dalton woke we headed down like you might have seen in the video. Easton went through the loot the Bunny left for him. And he helped Dalton with his stuff. Then he went on a subdued hunt for the eggs ol' EB hid. Not too bad. He got some fun stuff he was excited about and not too much candy. I made a breakfast of biscuits cut and shaped to look like bunnies and then some breakfast potatoes with ham. There was a picture of that in the montage too.
We hung around, boys had some naps and eventually we dressed them:

Matching outfits for the first time...how sweet! Did I mention it was snowing outside on Easter? Had to do the short sleeves though because of that matching cuteness factor.

Double horsey rides on Daddy's legs:

After that we drove down to my Grandma's for dinner and in addition to celebrating the resurrection of Christ we also celebrated my mom's and Grandpa John's birthdays which fall during the next week:

Easton got to help blow out the candle but drooled on John's hand as he did so. Eew gross! Oops!
While there Dalton got to meet my uncle Jeff:

And aunt Robin:

My cousin Robbie was there too but we didn't get a picture of him. Oh no! Anyway, my aunt made the boys their very own sock monkeys! They're too cool, you can see one with Dalton above and you can see two with Dalton below:

She made Dalton a coloful quilt too with sock monkey fabric. They noted "almost everyone has a sock monkey story". If any of you have one and care to share, my comments section is always ready to listen. :)
Easton got to read an Easter book with Gramoo:

Dalton also spent some more time with Grammy:

He was awake the entire time we were there which was several hours, and I'm pretty sure he was awake for the drives both there and back. What is with that kid? He slept good last night, though, waking only one time before he woke to get ready for Gym. Then he slept all through Gym. He is just Mr. Social, though...it was simply too interesting for him to sleep yesterday. I love that kid. He is such a good baby.
We wrapped up the evening with a few family photos, one is in the montage and here's another:

So, as you already know, this morning we did our TV appearances and came back home. Dalton did a gigantic nursing session which is encouraging. His appetite was a little smaller with his illness but he's doing loads better today. Yay!

And, I was throwing tonight's dinner in the Crock Pot before the boys went down for their naps. Stuffed peppers, by the way. Dalton was in the swing and Easton was watching the end of Einsteins. Well, I heard Dalton start fussing so I was hurrying to wrap things up and then I noticed Dalton wasn't crying anymore. And I heard music from one of the toys Dalton got for Easter yesterday and I heard Easton saying, "Toys?" so I came in to see him being the sweetest big brother yet again. Easton had put Dalton's duckie rattle near D's hand and then was showing him his musical alligator. He was trying to help him with his paci too:

I don't know if watching my two boys could warm my heart any more. I love it. I already loved the person Easton was turning into and becoming a big brother has changed him even more for the better if that's possible. He is a great kid. I couldn't ask for two better or cuter boys than I have. We are so truly blessed.

Wow, you've certainly had a busy couple of days! The montage was precious and I understand what you mean about the music, but it was just perfect how it sped up right when Easton saw his basket.
It was so cute how excited he was about what the Easter Bunny & that he knew which one was his...smart boy!
Absolutely LOVE the family pics and I just adored the video where E was huggin on D. So sweet!!
I left out part of my sentence earlier...not sure what I was thinking. Meant to say he was so excited about what the bunny brought him.
Couldn't warm my heart any more either. Love the pictures and the movie and, well, the two of them. They are famous! I love him hanging and then dropping in the back. It looked like a hard fall!
Hope Easter was a nice family visit. It was nice to see pics of Dalton with Jeff and Robin and everyone. I'm sure they loved that.
Glad he's feeling a bit better. Love ya'll!
What a great day. I am just amaized that you still have a grandma and a grandpa.- how lucky you are. Jason is lucky as well to have your family right there in the same town.
You are blessed!!! We all are. I haven't been able to watch the video at school. I will wait until I get home. I saw you and E (and D's car seat :) on Tivo last night. That was great! Thanks for the early morning head's up so I could record. A beautiful family. I may be a tad prejudiced. May God continue to bless all of you. Moo
