Naptime = Naptime

So much for the ol' saying about naptime equaling blogtime. Yesterday I enjoyed a much needed nap instead. I got both the boys down in their own beds and took a nice nap myself. The best part was waking up on my own...not by one of the boys, not the annoying neighbor dog, not my bladder...just that my nap was long enough and I was done. Ahhh. Thanks for understanding.

You see, I was in need of a nap because I spent Thursday evening with my Jason enjoying some also much needed couple time. Survivor...chatting...cuddling and therefore staying up a little late for me. Dalton slept great to start. 6 hours of straight sleep and of course even longer between feedings. But, in the morning he woke early and his crying also woke Easton. So we were all up way too early and Easton doesn't apparently cope too well with that. He was cranky. But you wouldn' know it from these pictures.

We went out for doughunts first thing. Easton ate one and a half of them all by himself which if you knew Easton you would know this was a ton. He even asked for more but Mommy assumed he'd be full after 1.5 Krispy Kremes and had already eaten the other half. Next time I won't make such assumptions. I know it's doughnuts so it's not something I should be too excited about him eating, but at the same time it means he's got an appetite and maybe he'll gain a little weight. Mommy sure will.

And even though Baby D woke up the entire house way too early, he still got to snooze through breakfast:

Here's what E says to that:

Then he cleaned up his crumbs. He likes his little pretend vaccuum but he likes the real ones even more so all by himself he goes into the laundry room, unplugs the Swiffer, turns it on, vaccuums around, turns it off, carries it back to the laundry room, and plugs it back in to it's charger. Wow. You think he'll always like to clean this much?

Oh, by the way, it never ended up snowing. The night beforehand Jason checked out the radar while we watched the local weatherman predict lots of snow through the night. Jason, looking at the radar, was like, "It's not going to do anything." Guess who was right? Yay, J! He's proven himself to be a better weatherman on more than one occasion. At least as far as precipitation goes. I'm still impressed.

And, little Dizzlebug...well, he's had no more projectile vomiting but this food allergy suspicion of mine kind of turned into a self-fulfilling prophecy that day. His poos changed, he developed actual diaper rash (as opposed to "just" the sores he has already), he spit up a bunch, unusually cranky, he even cried and refused the breast when he was obviously hungry. Strange. Today he's back more to normal but it was strange that day. He's being a good sleeper, back to his 6 hour or so stretch at night and then every 3.5-4 after that. Today he slept in late. We had all planned on breakfast at Cracker Barrell. Everyone but Dalton was ready to go long before Dalton even woke up. But, eventually we made it and got our pancakes. Easton ate a ton again.

It wasn't long after we got home that it was time for both the boys to nap and me to blog. J opted for the first mow of the season out on the lawn. Guess spring has sprung here in Colorado. Although I'm fairly sure we'll see more snow before summer. It is Colorado after all. Here are some more shots of little Dizzle. Staying warm in his hoodie:

And the boy loves his mobiles. Sometimes when I lay him in his bed all drowsy he sees his ducks above him and starts smiling away. It is really very cute. He's got bears above his changing station on the Pack & Play and he adores those too. I took these shots just before his nap:

We even have cute video from awhile back of him talking to them but it's too big to load and I'm too lazy to transfer it to the other computer for shrinking purposes. Maybe some other time.

Well, the pancakes are starting to wear off...I should find something to feed myself now. Happy Saturday!

Oh my gosh, I just want to give Dalton a big squishy hug! I might have to stop reading your blog, because it is the opposite of birth control. *lol* I'm kidding of course, but he is one cute baby!

Are you going to see the pedi about the allergy suspicion?
