Today is my baby sister's 17th birthday. Whoa.
We met her and my mom for breakfast on teenager time: 11:00. Actually we were a little late as Easton is continuing to have "discipline issues" that needed addressing before we could leave the house. We're not having much fun.
He's refusing a nap again today although he did sleep till 7:30 this morning. Not that I could enjoy it because Dalton was up for the day before 6:30. Jason was like, "If it's not one, it's the other." Yup.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure Easton just took off his Pull Up and intentionally peed on his bed. I will never know for sure as I wasn't with him...he's supposed to be napping. But he came out of his room with his Pull Up in his hand telling me, "I pee pee". His bed had several wet spots which tells me it was more than just some accidental leakage. See, I told you he's being a weirdo. I did my best not to react much at all. He's really looking for negative attention from me lately. I don't like it. He's trying to get timeouts and then won't stay in the "naughty spot" when he "earns" it. If you ask him to pick up something, "Easton, I need you to pick up Tato Head" he'll go, "No! Mama take away!" He wants us to take the toys away. I still try to make him pick up the toys or he gets a time out. I know this behavior is expected, except it's NOT!!! This isn't Easton. Next week my incredible, shrinking mother...
...is going to come watch Dalton so I can take Easton to do something fun just the two of us. We need to get back to some of that. I took him to Target just the two of us the other night, but I guess that's not quite the same. My same amazing mom is also offering to come spend the night with Dalton and pop his pacifier back in for him all night so that I can try to get some actual sleep. Isn't she awesome? And so trendy too! (Check out her new outfit on her skinny self!)
This afternoon we're going to Ellis's to play. Easton's having some "quiet time" in lieu of his nap and he's in bed with some books. Awhile ago he started yelling, "All done nappy naps!" which is weird becauase I don't think I ever say, "nappy naps" but I might. I can be strange that way. I went and exchanged his old books for some new ones. He's actually being very quiet. I just don't want this "no nap" trend to continue at all. At all!
Okay, I should go give him some new books. At least Dizz is sleeping...

Wow, that is great of your mom to coem over to do the night thing for you. You are very fortunate! :>
Your mom rocks! And she's looks amazing, too! Wow!
Sorry things are still rough with Easton!
Your mom is looking GOOD! Go Gramoo!
I love my mom to pieces, but I have to say I've never been offered any overnight assistance. I'm jealous about that one. Hope you take her up on the offer!
Happy Birthday to Lauren!!!
Hoping Easton figures out what his new issues are soon...maybe he's in a toddler funk!
Your mom looks fabulous! Happy Birthday to your sister!
Sorry to hear that E is giving you a hard time. Terrible 2's. I am getting alot of arguing at my house.
That is so nice of your mom to help with D for a night. My mom actually did that last night and I got 8 straight hours of sleep. First time in 2 1/2 years. What a difference. Aren't moms just the greatest? Your mom looks great btw.
It's gotta be an age thing with E. Wee Laddie does the same kind of stuff. He has, in fact, helped pick up the toys to put them in the garage, when he wouldn't pick them up to put them in the toybox! (Huh?)
I'm sure it complicates it that he's got a brother to compete with for your attention... but we've had extra clinginess the last couple of months, too. (Remind me to tell you of the one *hour* I had WL in daycare--4 months ago-- and how about 3 months ago he was talking about it every stinkin' day.)
Hang in there.
