We did end up going to Best Buy yesterday. Easton picked out "The Incredibles". Movies are expensive. Sheesh. So that was $19.99 of Dalton's $30. So we also picked up a $6.99 "Fivel Goes West". We were heading to leave and Dalton saw a box of stuffed Sesame Street toys. He handed me Fivel and said, "All done" and wanted a Cookie Monster instead. They didn't have Cookie so he chose Abby Cadabby instead. We have 67 cents or something left on the gift card now.
We got home and Easton sat to watch the new movie. Oops. We're totally regretting that choice in movies now. We're pretty conservative with what we allow the kids to watch, and if I had thought about it more, I wouldn't have let him pick that movie. It's violent and there's guns and such. Ack! He was captivated, though and watched the entire thing.
When it was over we decided we'd put it away till they're a little bigger. Which will be fine as Easton has absolutely no interest in watching it today. He's like that with movies...unlike most children who can watch the same thing over and over and over, Easton doesn't usually do that. He prefers a little more variety.
Last evening we had a contractor come to the house to take a look at our basement. We're thinking of finishing it and wanted to talk to someone about it. The idea is very exciting, I hope it works out. It would be so awesome to have an official space down there, in addition to the storage it has now. Basements rock. It's weird to me how certain parts of the country don't do basements. I've always had one living in Colorado. No one uses their attics here. So basements or garages are where you stick all your junk. Or Goodwill...that's my favorite place for junk and things that clutter up my house. :)
Anyway, today was school. Easton was on the verge of tears even when I dropped him off, poor guy. He seems like he's having a bit of a sad day today. But he had a good enough day at school while Dalton and I did breakfast, Walgreens (4 more packs of better-than-free razors), AussieROO, and Target.
We came home for some lunch:
Dalton went down for his nap and Easton for his quiet time. I think when he comes out he wants to watch Toy Story as something is up with our TiVo or something and every screen is blank even when trying to watch live TV. Very perplexing. So I said he'd have to pick a movie instead and that's when he said he did NOT want to watch Incredibles. Goob. I'd better hide it before he might want to watch it again someday.
Anyway, sorry to be boring but that's all I've got for today. Luckily no tooth drama to ramble on and on about. :)
Bye!

Oh, how fun about the basement. In MT, we all had basements but in NC, there are none. I thought it weird too. So our garage is storage, until we decide to finish it.
Can you take the movie back and get another one? Still cool about the prize though.
Growing up in the south, I've never had a basement!:) My cousins in PA always had one and I thought it was SO fun when we would go visit! No basements down this way though!
I hear ya on the Incredibles! We watched it once and it really is too violent for little ones, IMO. So, we haven't watched it again. Luckily we didn't buy it. Hope you can hide it for a while :).
Hope you get back to the "other" place soon!! :)
E!
RoRo and I were just talking about basements today! I so wish we had one. I think it would be awesome if you could get yours all fixed up.
I thought I'd like Incredibles a lot more than I did. Adam didn't like it much either...I think he's only seen it the one time.
We had a finished basement growing up, I loved it! But no basement in our current home-boo, then again, it would just be more space to clean at this point =P
We had a basement in Alaska when I was a kid, but none here!
I love the Incredibles, but then again, I'm a grown up. LOL. We let BubTar watch it when he was little, but everyone is different with that sort of thing. I have the cutest video of him trying to say "Where is my super suit?" (soopa soup!)
