And Dalton is also 13 months old today. We had a lovely Easter, no church yet, of course, but it was nice to be with family at least.
Here are a few videos from that morning. We slept in (for us) till about 7:45, then came downstairs. As you watch these videos I must point out how wonderful my oldest son is. Watch as, before he does anything like check out his own basket, my 3 year old brings Dalton's basket to him first--without even being asked. And calls him Morris still. :) Then later as Dalton totally steals Easton's wind-up tractor, instead of yanking it out of his hands, throwing a fit, or screaming "Mine!" Easton calmly asks, "Can I please have that?" Even though that's how we're trying to teach him, I still find it impressive. And later, not on video, we open the box of cheddar bunny crackers and without any prompting, Easton gives the first cracker to his brother. I'm so proud of how he's turning out. I know he gives us issues from time to time, but with adequate rest he is an awesome 3 year old. I know of a lot of other's having a hard time with "3 is the new 2" as far as "Terrible" goes, and we were there...not all that long ago, right before and on our vacation Easton was in a bad cycle, but he's been back on track for awhile now. He rocks.
Oh yeah, back to Easter...here's those vids:
Dalton was definitely a fan of his light up spinny egg thingie:

Easton saw his red car first thing and was glad to have it. Whew! He wanted to play his popper game before digging into the rest of his basket, though:

But he went back to his basket eventually, checking out the butterfly puzzle:

Dalton and his Easter Blue's Clues mini See & Say:

Easton liked it too:

After the baskets, Easton went on a little egg hunt. I have video but I've already put up a lot of video and it just takes soooooo long to upload. :) But I somehow don't have any pictures. I will tell you that Easton enjoyed hunting for the eggs and Dalton danced at the coffee table rather than joining his brother in any hunting.
We ate a teeny bit of breakfast to hold us till brunch and then we got ready to head to my mom's. The boys looked so darn cute in their matching shirts and jeans, and we didn't get a single picture before Dalton ruined his with brunch. What a bummer! But brunch was good. Of course Gramoo and Lauren were there, and Lauren's boyfriend (Dmitriy). Then my grandparents came as well as my aunt and uncle and one of my cousins (Paul). Paul brought his new wife and 4 year old step-daughter. She was quite a cutie, I wish Easton would have played with her a little more. They did an egg hunt after we ate but I edited her out of the pics since I haven't asked permission to share her on the internet:

Dalton looked on, as he was no longer dressed for egg hunting outside in the grass:

In fact, he hated the feel of the grass on his feet so he'd hold one foot up at a time:

I caught him testing out two feet:

Easton had fun with the egg hunt yet again, the grown ups were coaching the little ones from the deck. Pretty cute to hear Dmitriy shouting, "Easton! Easton! Look over there!" At the end, my cousin's kid was sad she didn't find a pink egg so we asked Easton to trade with her, but he merely gave her the pink egg and didn't even want one in return.
There was some egg tossing going on later on:

I'm sure the bits of egg are making my mom's backyard pretty stinky right about now.
We hung in the backyard a little longer:

Gramoo got Easton a Buzz Lightyear bubble wand so we played with that:

Then I got a little fancy with it:
It looked better (and skinnier) in my imagination.
We went back inside for some more family time. My sweet snugglebug was hanging in soooo well despite no nap yet:

He got to open a birthday present from my aunt and uncle and it was this cute little outfit (he's posing):

Easton got a cool Melissa & Doug dinosaur floor puzzle. The grown-ups had fun putting it together. :)
My uncle entertained Dalton for awhile after that:

Both boys fell asleep in the car on the way home, Dalton immediately and Easton not till we got closer to home. He asked if we'd wake him when we got there. I still tried to put him into his bed for a nap but he protested. So he had quiet time instead. I tried to pull the same move for Dalton and put him in bed too. But he was done sleeping too. Instead I actually took a nap while J tended to the boys. Nice!
When I woke up I made a delish dinner (nothing traditional like ham or anything) and we played with the Easter stuff. Including stickers:

A lovely end to a lovely day!

Happy Resurrection Day!

Precious little manners, E. I love you...Gramoo
You have some freakishly long legs, my friend! That last picture of D with the sticker on his forehead made me think it was saying, "I'm just keeeedding!"
