T.G.I.F.

On Friday I was apparently trying to win "wife of the year" so I took the boys and myself to the oil change place. Normally it's something we tackle on a weekend as a family but the car was way overdue so I just did it. We had breakfast and played at the McDonald's next door as we usually do too. I'm gonna have to start ordering the boys their own hot cakes to share. They hardly left me anything to eat!

After the oil change, Max and Susannah came over like last Friday.

While they were here, Dalton began a new trick: standing up without pulling up on something. That requires some balance. So, with his new "stepping" skills and being able to stand up from the floor, he'll be walking non-stop in no time!

Jason came home from work a little early...with a sandwich for me! He was bribing me, or really thanking me, because he was going out for a little Guys Night Out with his pal Rob, who he shares an office with. Waiting for Rob:

The boys and I dropped Rob and J off at the Nuggets game (NBA, if you didn't know) and then I flew solo with the boys for bedtime for the first time in a LONG time. I am a pro though, so of course it went smoothly ;)

Jason and Rob apparently had fun during their night on the town. They took in the game then headed out for some drinks. At one point Jason told me some girls (who he says were probably just looking for a table) asked if they could sit down with them. Jason said, "Sure if you like short, bald, married guys." :) The girls left.

Jason and Rob took a cab here to the house (how safe of them, eh?) and Rob crashed on our couch. I really wish we had a guest room because I felt bad making him a little bed on the couch...with the cat.

I bet Blitz enjoyed the company though. :) That's fun that J got to have a guy's night. I was hoping a certain other coworker would have been involved because I'm sure there would have been some funny stories if he had. lol

We should go out to McD's for breakfast sometime. I never think of doing that, but just hearing about it making me crave a sausage biscuit. Yum!
