Well, let's see...after some pancakes and smoothies Saturday morning, Jason and Easton headed to take The Maws back to the airport...and so I had a new apprentice helping me with my laundry and such:
And then when Easton and Jason got home they brought me some McAlister's! Nummy nummy. Easton also had a new favorite song he was singing, "Smokin' in the Boys Room"! I raised my brow at J understandably and the way the story goes is they were listening to some of his songs (like songs by Jason) via the MP3 player and then it fell and when it got bumped the Motley Crüe song came on.
When the boys were up from nap/quiet time they played some computer games:
And some "let the air out of the balloon" games:
And then we were feeling social and wanted to see if some friends wanted to hang out and do dinner. So Jason gave them a call...it's Baby John's parents. They are 35 weeks along with twin boys and I'm not sure we'll see them again before Pickles and Kraut get here. Luckily they were free and Jason invited ourselves over for dinner at their house. But I think that was easiest for mom anyway. Plus we got to see the newly painted nursery. They are some of my favorite people to hang out with. I never leave hanging out with them complaining to Jason about things or their parenting or anything...and that's saying something! Little John, as he is now known, is a good kid:
And my boys had fun playing with all his stuff:
We had some dinner followed by ice cream sundaes and then we hit the road to get our boys in bed. Even with being forward facing now, Dalton still can't seem to keep his feet out of his brother's face:
Easton is still quite a good sport about it.
We have some video of Easton singing and bopping along to his new song. He doesn't know I'm recording him.
Sunday I let J sleep in a little bit again. The boys and I made muffins. Dalton ate a lot! Then while J did yardwork the boys and I ran a few errands. Easton was so excited to go to the party store that he was running and skinned his knee pretty badly. So he wanted to skip that store and go home. He's usually pretty tough about such things but he kept carrying on and on about it.
He took a nap when we got home--I woke him after an hour, though...still screwed up bedtime for him. But his new monkey jammies helped:
Actually E's bath last night was rough too...he screamed bloody murder when I was gently cleaning things. It should not have hurt as badly as he was making it seem. I was all, "Did he fall on broken glass or something?" He's never acted like that before with pain. Never. I was even poking around to see if anything seemed broken...I think that was the same kneecap we were x-raying back in March. Something seems off but oh well.
Life with boys, eh?

That video of Dalton is priceless. And Easton singing his song, very cute.
Glad you had fun at your friends house. How cute about pickles and kraut.
Poor Diddles! First that big red bird, now WILD and CRAZY balloons. LOL.
Eastie is super cute singing! I'm a big fan of secretly taping the kiddos when they think nobody is looking (which sort of makes me sound like a stalker, but I don't mean it like that, LOL!).
Hope everything is okay with Eastie's leg. That's a little worrisome, but you're totally right...par for the course with 2 little boys.
Dalton's surprised/scared faces just crack me up. What a character he is!
How fun that you got together with some friends, especially ones you enjoy so much. Baby John looks like a future linebacker in that jersey. Too bad it's a Bronco one. ;)
