I skipped D's nap and E's quiet time today in lieu of hanging out with my oldest friend Kelli and her 14 month old Connor and tagging along on their Costco membership.
But as Kelli and Connor were getting ready to leave (or maybe why they were leaving) the boys were getting super cranky and unpleasant so I'm making them have separate quiet times for just a bit to chill out and rest a tad. E's watching "Little Bear" upstairs and D's watching "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" down here.
Mama needed a break from all their whining. Eek! Hopefully when we regroup they'll be all better again.
So back to yesterday afternoon, the boys and I did some art projects. Easton did a faux stained glass frog thing:
More scoop and pics may come on this later.
And Dalton decorated a foamie picture frame with foamie stickers:
Dalton peeled the backs off of most of the stickers himself. And Easton was so careful with his stuff--I was so proud.
Easton wanted me to take a picture of him posing like the frog he'd made...Dalton is just trying to copy, I think:
We danced around to a library Hi-5 DVD before I made dinner:
Then there's today...the 5th. A TMI day for y'all: it's the day we got pregnant with Easton five years ago. Whoa. And look at me now:
Sorry to keep harassing you all with bare belly shots of myself but I just think it's funny how "all in front" Wabie is. Look...I still have a waist (well as much as I've always had). It just really kinda looks like someone stuck a ball under my skin, doesn't it?
Anyway, as I mentioned above, the boys and I made a trip to Costco this morning. I've always heard such great things about it and I wanted to know for myself if it was really all that much better than Sam's Club (where I don't pay for our membership). Kelli was happy to get us in on her Costco membership and she even drove alllllllllllll the way up to our neck of the woods to do it. We wandered the aisles and mostly I was there to check out Kirkland brand things and things I can't get at the grocery store...because since I've become a couponer I don't shop at Sam's much at all...usually I find better deals with coupons at the stores, but not always.
I bought some really tasty salsa (they were giving away samples, that's how I knew) and a few other things including the Mickey Mouse chicken nuggets that were #1 on my mental list of things to get. Either the boys sampled too much while at Costco or the nuggets aren't all that because they barely ate any of it for their lunch. Kelli and two other adult friends have enjoyed the nuggets and so I'm thinking maybe that's the problem...that grown ups like them so kids probably won't. :)
Anyway, we came back to the house for some lunch for everyone and a little bit more playing till my boys got too annoying. Tee hee. Speaking of...I think their shows are about over so I'd best be going.
Thank you, Kelli!
Have a good weekend, everyone else!

WHAT!? They weren't diggin' the MM Nuggets? Did you try them? That is absurd, lol!
Well hey...I guess you'll save even more money by NOT getting a costco membership ;)
Thanks for the fun day. And your boys didn't annoy us. We left because Connor was getting tired too. He feel asleep as soon as we hit the highway.
Kelli
3 kids in Costco during naptime? I have nightmares about that. LOL.
I wish we had a Costco. Matt says they are targeted more towards families whereas Sam's Club is more for business owners. We still love our Sam's though...especially since we get to see Paige when we go. :)
