I've been waaaaaaaaaaay too busy with things to sit and blog regular posts right now. So there's the one below this one and now two short brags on my oldest boy.
First...he was helping me wrap presents. I told him to pick out a tag for Jess and I'd be right back. I went upstairs to help Dalton get to a game he was wanting to play online, came back down and saw E'd done this:
He spelled the name Jessica just about perfectly ALL by himself!!!! (You'll notice there's no second "s" and his "J" is backwards, and the "i" is getting a tad curvy but whatev...) That is her only gift so there is nothing he was copying it off of or anything...he sat and sounded it out and wrote it down!!! I was blown away. And then I was thinking, "I wonder if Jess could've written her own name any better at this age???" I'm kidding, Aunt Jess, you Tree Frog, you. ;)
My second little E brag is how he was at Auntie Lauren's for the morning. She's got a bunch of Star Wars toys...one of which is a gun.
Easton was very curious but knows our rule that he's not allowed to play with them. Even without me there and safely in the care of his Gramoo and Lauren, the sweet boy remembered our rule and asked Lauren to push the buttons and show him the toy "blaster", but he wouldn't play with it himself because it's our rule. Gosh, I just love that boy!

Wow! That is GREAT! He's a special guy.
I am mighty proud of Eastie. What a lil smartie. And, I think it's really cute that he didn't play with the blaster. To make it about me, it reminds me of when we were at nicole s.'s making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and I put the jelly on really thin cause that's what we were supposed to do at home. Her mom said something about it to me, but I didn't want to be sneaky out of mom's sight :)
He is growing up so fast. It is nice to know that they do the right thing even when you are not around. Good job Mom!
