My to do and shopping lists are getting a tad overwhelming so yesterday was spent tackling some of that which meant not playing with my children too much. Nor blogging. But today things are a bit more organized and planned again and I'm feeling back on track. Still lots to do but it's not getting the best of me today.
Anyway...I never really did finish blogging about the weekend. Sunday was all but ignored, wasn't it? Well, it was a lovely Sunday. Church. Another Saints win. The grocery store all by myself. Eye doctor for J and I. Some cooking (which Dalton helped crush crackers)...
...and then we headed to small group for a potluck and games. It was a lovely time.
Most of Sunday was spent with Easton talking about the cool transforming monster and dragon balls (Bakugan) that a kid at church had. He really wanted one and was asking if he had enough money, could we take him to Target and buy one? We said fine...sure.
Well, Monday after school he was still talking about it. So we sat to count his money:
Between his two piggie banks and his popsicle sticks (thanks, Molly!) from his chores he had over 6 dollars!
And for every 10 dimes, he gave one "back to Jesus" and we talked about why we do that and such:
At the end he had his 6 bucks and some change. I said he could put it back in his bank or in his chapel box, whatever he wanted. He chose to give that to Jesus too!
I told him he had enough for his dragon ball and when Autumn woke from her nap we'd head out.
But first she had some awake time:
Then we were ready to go!
He's got his little wallet in one hand and a Bakugan in the other:
I had my camera in my purse and noticed later that Dalton (who was in the back of the cart) had helped himself to it:
Easton was reading the signs on the box and said, "Look Mom! Lions like to play with this!"
Look at my big guy with his little toy:
Telling Daddy about it while in the parking lot:
That was the night we were heading to our free barbeque dinner. And the boys had already missed a bath thanks to the small group gathering Sunday night. So I bathed them before dinner since we'd be getting home late:
Dinner was good, Jason didn't make it because he had to move offices. And that night I drove the kids around to look at some Christmas lights on the way home. It was also Autumn's very first night in her own bed all night:
I missed her.
Tuesday:
Dalton wanted in on it too:
And then, once again, he hijacked my camera:
But I got it back. These are the beautiful full lips I remember from "Wabie's" ultrasounds:
Then she had a mid-day bath to get ready for Santa:
Which inspired a quick photo op since she was nakey and clean in the middle of the day. I wanted to capture her little mole on her ankle:
And maybe a belly button...
And why not go for the full monty?
The boys entertained themselves in their room nearby:
Before long it was time to get fancy for our trip to the mall to see Santa:
Dalton was so excited he could hardly stand it:
Autumn too!
We did a brief bit of shopping then got in line and waited for Jason to come meet us there on his way home. The boys practiced their smiles:
And Autumn pooped on her tights. At the last minute, Dalton got scared and didn't want to sit by Santa at all...so we put him next to Easton instead:
(See how Autumn is missing a pair of tights?) :)
Then we headed to the food court for some dinner:
Instead of eating, Dalton stood on the back of my chair going "Oh Mooommmyyyyy" and then switching to the other side to repeat. Again. And again.
We got the news yesterday that the play date Easton has been planning with his buddy Jacob was cancelled. They don't have a lot of free time, and apparently still don't. Easton was crushed. It was so sad. His little shoulder totally sank when I had to tell him. He was visibly bummed. He went into his room by himself because he just wanted some time alone. Mostly he wants Jacob's help on Star Wars Wii and to help him feel better, Jason let him stay up late and they worked on that Wii level together:
He then had some really bad dreams last night and woke up screaming. It was so sad to hear him. He wouldn't let Jason close the door to their room till he was asleep again. Poor fella.
We had to wake him for school this morning. While he was gone, Dalton wanted to be a doctor:
Then for breakfast he said he wanted "elf food" so I cut his food into tiny bites and he didn't eat any of it:
What a rascal!
We've got some more errands to run this afternoon...hopefully before Autumn's next nap. Eek!

I love the pictures with all the stuffed animals. And that is so sad about Easton's playdate. It just breaks your heart to see your children sad like that. You want to protect them from those kinds of hurts. I have had to actually not tell the kids stuff about some people coming because we have had to deal with last minute cancellations too. It stinks!!!
Your boys are so handsome in their "fancy" clothes and Autumn is so cute in her dress. Getting little ones dressed up is fun! Autumn is getting so big!
That is a great Santa photo. If Eastie was grinning any bigger, his face might crack. LOL!
Cute photos of Autumn and Diddles in the animals, too!
How great that Eastie used his own money to buy something he really wanted! We put a moratorium on purchases in December...chances are they would buy something that is already under the tree!
