...before I have Christmas festivites to blog about and then I'd be so far behind I probably wouldn't even think it was worth it to catch up. :)
Anyway, all the way back to last Friday again...Autumn had to change clothes at Miss Tracy's mid-day. So I wanted to festive her back up again and stuck her in her Santa hat. She was pretty bah humbug about it:
But at least Easton liked her festive headband:
She didn't mind it too much either:
She was happy to sport Dalton's Woody hat too while Easton took a zillion pictures of her:
Somehow there are no pictures of Saturday but I know I was out a lot that day...run an errand, come home, feed baby, put baby back to sleep, go back out... So, that wasn't much to photograph I guess.
However, Sunday the kids dressed in their Christmas clothes for church (they were seriously the only ones we saw!) and that presented lots of photo ops. However Easton was adamant he not be in any pictures and Autumn wasn't too excited about it either:
So we just took a bunch of Dalton. A bunch.
Showing us how he wants an airplane from Santa:
Daddy tried to pose with Autumn with not much better results:
Oh well.
They'll be wearing the clothes at least twice more. :)
In the afternoon on Sunday we took Easton in for a real hair cut. Much like the rest of you, we've been loving his longer locks lately. And more people are now noticing "has his hair always had so much red in it?" (Yes, it has. Used to be even more so!) Anyway, instead of a buzz that we do at home, we thought we'd take him in to get the sides and back cleaned up a bit and keep it long on the top. Easton wants it to look like Obi Wan's so he's game for whatever. Ha! Anyway, here he is before:
She said she was just going to trim the top part but she took off a lot! Too much for me and I was bummed so I said to Easton, "Ohhhhhhh, she cut too much off the top." and he goes, "Don't worry, Mom. More hair will grow." He's right. And now I think I'll do it at home next time. I paid over $20 stinkin' bucks for this:
But I paid attention and went home and cut Dalton's so that the sides and back were cleaned up with the top longer.
Here's the kids on Monday morning. Miss A's already got boys fighting over her. :) (See Dalton's foot keeping Easton back?)
When Autumn went to sleep, the boys helped me wrap some things:
Dalton did this to himself when I came back from re-inserting Autumn's paci one time:
I really love that picture for some reason.
In the next part of the day, I set to work in the kitchen on some Christmas treats and the boys set up Little People village again:
You can see Dalton's hair cut a little better there. I didn't do too bad! :)
Helping me crush candy canes to top my mint thins:
Later we headed to the mall. It was so crazy busy. Diddykins fell asleep on the way. I was on a phone call talking about preeclampsia and my risk factors and such and when I hung up, Easton showed he'd been paying attention when he asked, "Mom, what is 'sticky blood'?" and "Did your dad die?" and I said, "No, my dad didn't die" and he clarified, "But what about your papa?" (which he'd heard me say Papa had died an untimely death). I explained that yes, my papa had died and he goes, "Don't worry, Mom. I'm sure you'll find him when we get to Heaven". Little sweetie.
Dalton stayed asleep on the way in to the mall. I have a double stroller but it's a Sit and Stand. And Autumn in her car seat was in the front. The back is just a jump seat. So not a good place for a sleeping child. So I carried D with the other two in the stroller. We waited in a long-arse line in the food court to get things started and Diddles slept the whole time:
Easton and Autum entertained one another:
And E broke out the camera too (he also took that picture of sleeping Dalton):
Dalton woke up just as I was trying to decide how to carry our tray, push the stroller, and carry sleeping Dalton to a non-available table. Whew! So he walked and we wandered around looking for a table to free up. We spotted one at the same time as an older couple with their hot fudge sundaes. I asked if we could just share the table and they were fine with it. Easton, however, was not. He "only likes to share tables with my friends". So he sat in the stroller. Later, another woman joined us with a boat of funnel cake sticks and she offered to share one! Lucky Dalton!
We continued with a bunch of shopping after our lunch. Dalton picked up the "Santa doll" he was wanting to get for Autumn:
He was very proud.
I didn't have great luck on my mall trip trying to finish up my list but that was okay. We finished up with a little playing in the play area for the boys and then I bought them cookies on our way out for being so awesome. They really were. However, we also had a cup of water and Dalton accidentally spilled it all over Easton's car seat. It was so wet so I had them switch car seats for our drive...even though that means their shoulder straps weren't at the right height for each of them, I did it anyway:
(Oh, and don't worry even more, Easton was all the way buckled by the time we hit the road.)
There must be something about the car seat closest to the window because Easton fell asleep over there on the way home:
Tuesday morning we went out for our doughnuts as usual. But we bought extras for Gramoo and Lauren because I was taking the boys down there for the morning. One of my best childhood friends recently welcomed another baby girl and I wanted to go see them:
But just Autumn and I went to their house. It was much better that way. The boys hung with Lauren and had a lovely ol' time. We eventually headed home for a bit:
That brings us to today. I didn't have the greatest night of sleep last night and was super tired this morning. Jason graciously got up with the boys when the woke and let me sleep in a tiny bit. He's working from home today because he likes to sometimes. He's very productive at home....oh, and there's snow on the ground as an excuse too. It's still coming down. But that didn't stop the boys and I from walking across the street to deliver some Christmas treats to our favorite two neighbors:
Poor Diddles fell twice in the snow! And once again in the hall at home from the snow-slick floor! :( But he was okay. Just wet. We even drove over to Miss Tracy's house with a box of goodies too. Wet Dalton fell asleep in the car and is sleeping up in his bed as I type. These boys are worn out lately and with Christmas just two sleeps away I'm thinking they're not going to get a whole lot of extra rest till later on! :)
But they're being such great kiddos lately. Sure, they've got their moments but I could not be more happy to be their mama. Now we're all caught up on the day-to-day...stay tuned for more as the Christmas festivies continue!

I love their Christmas clothes. We don't currently go to church, but we always buy Christmas clothes. They wear them several times every year! I just love a sharp dressed kid!
I'm glad you guys are keeping Eastie's longer locks! I think it makes him look a bit more mature. We've had the same problem with people somehow not understanding what we mean by a little trim! Drives me nuts!
