Easton and Dalton both woke up super duper early today: before 6 a.m.!!! Not sure why Dalton did. I tried nursing him back to sleep--twice--but it didn't work. I still left him resting in his bed till after I showered though. Just so tomorrow he doesn't think back on all the fun he got to have waking up at 5:45. I'm just glad he doesn't really protest being awake but in his bed.
Easton on the other hand, he's still sick and woke up because he wasn't feeling good. I tried to give him some meds and have him go back to sleep but he kept whining about stuff 'cause he's so miserable with his fever. Another time he said he had to pee. That went on and off for about an hour till I put him in our bed, he still wouldn't go to sleep. I did get the meds in him finally, though.
With the Motrin and Tylenol he's almost completely "normal". Almost. He fussed at my mom last night which is virtually unheard of and then to me today at Target because I told him to please take his hands out of the back of his pants. But otherwise with the medicine you'd forget he's "sick". Still no clue what's actually wrong with him, though.
We still did doughnut day this morning. Jason said he thought we should start letting Dalton eat doughnuts (and other sweet treats) in the interest of weight gain. That's why we let Easton do weekly doughnuts and now that we're having issues with Dalton it's time for him to do doughnuts and ice cream and such on occasion as well. He ate an entire doughnut. Easton had 2.
We went to Target and to the craft store after breakfast. We also drove through a car wash. Easton asked if we could, and we needed gas anyway. Plus we always love to get out of the house once a day (at least).
Now both boys are asleep. After their early early morning they were both in need. No one even ate lunch yet. Oh well.
I took a little video (or two) of Dalton walking around in his cast. He is really rockin' the cast walking. We keep a sock over his cast because apparently they are really abrasive and can rip up your hardwood floors. We have Pergo but we don't want to find out if it'll destroy Pergo too. :) And also the sock has a non-skid bottom. And also we think it might keep the cast from getting as funky as quickly. And also...this one time...at band camp...
Usually we keep a shoe on his other foot because he is more balanced that way, you can see it doesn't need it though:

Well, he's better at cast walking than KayTar is at cast-free walking. LOL.
Hope Eastie is much better fast, and that lots of sleep is in your future!
Look at that cast walking! It even looks like he was dancing a bit too.
Hope E is back to normal soon.
And yeah, you were way better than me on withholding donuts from the little ones. Anything Julia eats, Grace has to have, donuts especially. She throws a baby tantrum if she doesn't. I must say there is something still cute about a 1 year old throwing a tantrum. I know I wouldn't be saying that for long!
Okay...everytime I pull up your blog...I have one or two little girls running up to the computer "Whas dat Momma?" The music draws them in.
I can't believe little D walking around in that cast. It does look like dancing, but my heart is still breaking a little bit...
He IS rocking that cast. And the peg sound on the floors is so funny.
Him saying "No" sounds just like Micah. I usually wake up each morning to hearing Micah saying No and Ranen saying Yes back and forth over the monitor.
Micah also says the "eh eah go!"
Dalton gets to enjoy the sweet life now...what fun! Maybe he can have that piece of birthday cake that he missed out on. :)
Hope Easton is fever free tomorrow and that both boys will sleep in a bit for you. You weren't kidding when you said Eastie doesn't sleep more when he's sick. 5:45...yikes!
