What a Wednesday!

We're just continuing with our theme of non-stop busy-ness. Yesterday was no exception. Pretty much as soon as we were done with our cinnamon roll breakfast the boys got dressed and we left the house for Boulder. I had a doctor's appointment and this time Jason was able to watch the boys so I didn't have to bring them along. But the boys and I arrived super duper early and had some time to kill. I called Jason on the phone and proposed, "Smoothies or Starbucks?" to which he said, "Starbucks sounds delicious." And then I had to ask, "Cold or hot?" I know what he typically gets in either the hot beverage or cold beverage category, just had to get that info. We all opted for cold...the boys too. They got a strawberries and creme Frappacino. Yum yum!

Then Jason and I made the kid/car exchange and he took them to this really cool park nearby. This is the only picture I got though, because I had the camera and then Jason had to go right back to work:

We came home for lunch and quiet/nap time. I got to catch up on the phone with my ol' pal Kelli and make plans for her and her new baby to come visit us next week. Yay! I had to wake Dalton from his nap because we had plans to go to Lauren's ballet recital in the afternoon:

I'm always impressed she's as good a dancer as she is...she didn't even start taking official classes until she was, like, high school aged but she does great! My boys really liked the whole show...lots of costumes and music...cute kids. Both boys were on my lap for awhile, even though Gramoo was right next to us, I think they were afraid I'd leave overnight again if they went to their Gramoo. :) Easton had his arm around Dalton for the longest time. Eventually E moved to Gramoo's lap to see better. They did great for awhile. But as with most things their attention span is only so long. Lauren's was the 14th dance and I think we made our exit by about the 16th dance. Dalton was starting to shout for more milk and I'm sure their increasing antsiness was making everyone around us wish we'd hurry up and leave. We had to drive back up to our neighborhood for swimming lessons anyway.

We left the recital right in the midst of rush hour and had to take Denver's main highway (where all the traffic is) so I was glad we'd left with time to spare. Traffic was not as bad as I expected and I was actually able to take the boys to grab some dinner at Chipotle. They do little quesadillas for the kiddos for, like, 80 cents a piece. So we got some of those and some food for J and I for later. The boys, especially Easton, gobbled up their dinners:

Then it was on to swimming class. Ugh, swimming last night...not exactly sure what went wrong. Easton had been asking to go all day, he was excited when we got there all the way until Jason took him to the edge of the pool to meet his teacher. Then Easton started crying that he wanted me and wouldn't stop crying. Jason and I alternated going to talk to him, telling him that he was going to stay, we were going to watch him and wave, that at 7 he'd be done and then we'd go home. He kept looking over at us and shouting, "I'm not having fun!" or things along those lines. He wasn't being very respectful of his teachers which we were not too happy to see. I don't know what changed between the first two lessons and last night but he was "off". Eventually he stopped crying and was fine. A little subdued perhaps, which was actually a good thing because he was never horseing around enough to fall in the pool this time. Always gotta try to find the bright side, right? :) Sometimes Easton is such a goob.

The other thing with Easton is that the boy knows how to make himself throw up. He did it the other day when he didn't want to come with me to get J's Father's Day food and he was starting to try to do it last night at the pool. Making himself puke to get out of things is absolutely not okay with us, especially not at the public pool, so in between reassuring him that we'd be right there watching him swim, that we'd get him at 7, we also had to reprimand him for trying to make himself puke. Dude, tomorrow is art class attempt #2 and I'm quite dreading it, to be perfectly honest. We have bribe plans in place but still...

Once the boys went to bed Jason and I watched Semi-Pro with Will Ferrell. Disappointing. And the whole reason we opted not to see that one in a theater was because we wanted to see any special features on the DVD...but there weren't any! Darn.

Anyhoo...that was our busy busy Wednesday. We're just little Engergizer bunnies over here aren't we? Keep going and going and...

and going and going.

I can't believe that Easton knows how to throw up on queue or try to. But I am glad he didn't fall in this time. Hopefully next time will be better. How many more lessons are there?

Ranen loves Starbucks and everytime we go to Target (w/ Starbucks) he says "chocolate" because that is what he remember. We have him a banana frap and he sucked that thing right down. It was a venti too.

So cute. I was thinking after recently going through Loe's yearbook, from the Monday and Tuesday pics, I see a bunch that will make E's senior ad in high school....the swinging pic, the ice cream, the fireman...
And then I thought the craziest idea of all is that they will grow up. To be bigger. Can't we just freeze time? I love where they are now....

We've been running like that too, which is giving me very little time for blogging!
