Mmmmmonday

Why is it that my baby son has forgotten what night time is for? Last night he was once again awake just to be awake. From about 3:30 until at least 5:15. What the heck? I'm relishing thoughts of his newborn days. Back when he was a much better sleeper, going longer stretches, who actually slept when it was dark out. What a goob, this is getting old. At the time, feeling tired and frustrated, thoughts of Benadryl or melatonin crossed my mind.

Oh well. Instead of dwelling on such thoughts I set my sights the upcoming morning time being that it was doughnut day! And today we decided to eat inside Krispy Kremes. Easton loves to watch the doughnuts being made:

Dalton enjoyed watching too, but mostly he's just glad he gets to eat them now!

Although Dalton only ate about half a doughnut, he was more interested in flirting with the girl at the table next to us. Easton polished off 2 and a half, though:

Krispy Kreme is right by Target so we decided to head over there next. I forget what really brought us there...a return I think. But we found plenty to occupy us:

And plenty of stuff to buy. Today's theme seemed to be Fourth of July gear. We got a cake mix, socks, tattoos and...

Easton keeps calling it his "beautiful birthday tiara".

Don't tell Daddy.

And obviously that is a joke because--duh--Jason reads the blog. :) But Easton is calling himself a princess. And he was also eyeing a new Ariel (Little Mermaid) helmet for his bike. *sigh* He's still all boy at the same time, if that's possible.

Anyway, we came home and did some lunch. I think Easton is napping yet again. And Diddles is DEFINITELY gonna nap...the stinker...after last night. You betcha.

Tonight is swimming lessons. Easton has already told me he's not going to listen to his teacher because he's "too sick". I said, "Well, then we'll give you some medicine" and I really hope that'll do the trick. Sometimes he gets it in his head that he will or won't do something and there's not much we can do. Remember the incident with the turtle and the dentist? Sheesh.

What am I gonna do with these boys???

Today's time from start to "publish": 15 minutes, 10 seconds

What are we going to do with that Dalton? And Easton is a very handsome princess. I hope he enjoys his swimming lesson tonight.

Great blog time, that means lots of mommy time. Or lots of chat time.

2 and a half doughnuts....whoa! Somebody sure must be feeling better.

I hate that Dalton is up so much at night. I wonder what's going through that head of his? I hope tonight is a better night for him (and you!).

Adam is the exact same as Easton as far as being "all boy", yet still liking a few girlie things. He loves nothing more than to go over to Skylee's and put on all her necklaces (like 30 of them) and then play hairdresser. I should possibly be concerned, but I think it's hilarious. :)

Easton is indeed a very handsome princess.

BubTar tries the "too sick" line sometimes, too. But then I play the medicine card and can find out if he's bluffing or not. He won't take a bluff to the medicine level. LOL.

Dalton! Give your mommy a break! She needs sleep!

Och hoh hoh hoh (drooling ala Homer Simpson) Krispy Kreme...

I love Easton's boy-princess - he and Athena would have soooo much to talk about!

But also, my princesses love playing with cars and trucks, too, it's just less remarkable when a girl plays with boy toys...

How can you not love the tiara?? So cute and funny at the same time =)

How does he know the word "tiara"? Is that from you? That seems like a pretty sophisticated word for a 3-year old. Is he just brilliant, as I surmise? Moo
