Today--No OB Update...YET

I only have one picture to share today! And it's not even that great...

I didn't even crop Jason out on purpose...I lamely took the picture that way. But, the boys were on the move with Easton pushing Jason on the cycle. Eastie thought it was very funny.

This morning we headed out for more shopping. We hit Home Depot looking for a shelf to hang on E's new wall (like we have in the nursery). No luck but I did find a birthday gift for him. When I was checking out (at self-checkout) the woman overseeing all the self checkout stations came to say, "It looks as if you're growing another one in there." "Yup" as I gave my belly a pat pat pat. Then she says, "I worked as a doula for years so I'm real interested in moms and babies." So that spawned a whole huge conversation about me and my pregnancies and I left with her telling me she'd say a little prayer for us. Nice, but weird too. Extra prayers are always welcome but it was just all too bizarre happening in the Home Depot check out lanes.

This morning I also made a couple of important phone calls. Sort of. One call was to confirm that I indeed have an OB appointment today. I won't tolerate any more of this, "You came on the wrong day" crap. Yes, I do have an appointment...but it's not till later this afternoon so no updates for you yet. Not to worry...I always keep y'all posted, don't I? My second call was to my old unit at the hospital. I wanted to see which NNP (neonatal nurse practicioner) would be on duty on the perspective C-section days. There is one that we flat out don't want near us or our son...the one we blame for "breaking" Easton. We don't know for sure what happened, but we still don't feel entirely comfortable with her. Even with a term, healthy baby. And, at my hospital the NNP attends the C-sections in lieu of a pediatrician. So, now we know which days to avoid when hopefully scheduling our C-section later today. But, I also learned during that phone call that the doctor we're supposed to see this afternoon is also the doctor on call today. Which means, if a delivery is happening, just happened, or about to happen she'll be there and not at my appointment. This has happened to us more than once in the past. I really really hate it so I'm going to hope for the best but I'm not going to settle for more rescheduling. They'd better be prepared to find me someone else to see today thanks to all the rescheduling/no you don't have an appointment today/blizzarding business. See what a worrier I am? I'm all worked up over that and I don't even know what'll happen. I'm crazy.

Easton went down beautifully for his nap yet again. He's got 2 hours before I wake him to leave for the 'pointment. But, he'll wake on his own before then I'm sure.

Tonight we've got the Sugar Bowl on TV: LSU vs. Notre Dame. It'll be chili rice in front of the tube for dinner tonight. Easton is still being a fairly decent eater these days. Maybe trying to grow a bit before his 2 year doctor's visit next week? I'm happy. He woke up requesting "gups"...usually he asks for milk first thing so I was pleased. He ate a bunch of mac and cheese at lunch too so he got to have his treat of 5 "nummahs" (M&M's). What a star!

Okay, peeps...I'll update you at some point soon. Ta ta for now!
