Easton and I are having another one of those days today...stinker. He is in a very testy mood and boy am I ready for him to just go back to normal already. And it's only been this morning. Sheesh!

Our weekend was pretty good but right now I can't really remember everything...I know we went to breakfast on Saturday morning. I remember the belt breaking in the vaccuum and we were all set to head to the store (as a family) to get a new one when Easton decided to be a bad listener and he (and I) ended up having to stay here while Jason and Dalton ran to the store. That's the first time J ever took D anywhere by himself. :)

Yesterday was church and out to lunch. Oh and we all went to visit the eye doctor. Well, only J and I saw the doc, but we brought the boys. In 7-10 business days J and I will each be getting some new glasses. Woo! Microsoft covers the eye exam 100% and then we get an allowance towards frames or contacts for the calendar year. So, for 2007 we're getting glasses and in 2008 we'll order more contacts. Fun times, I tell ya.

What else? Well, my online friend Kelly sent Easton some little khaki pants she made:

Aren't they great??? Thank you again, Kelly!

They were made just for my little skinny dude. It was amusing to me to see just how skinny Easton is (I mean, just look at his waist and non-butt in that hat dancing picture up there). But this is my other kid:

Whoa! Too bad we have to grow up and backsides (and thighs!) like that are not so cute anymore. :)

He loves to stand and watch the bathtub fill. He bangs on the edge of the tub and squeals and laughs. He does love his baths!

Yesterday morning when Dalton came in to join us all in the big bed Easton said, "I want Dalton!" and so we gave him his baby brother. They said their good mornings and settled in to watch Veggie Tales. This was not at all posed:

Then I was brushing my teeth getting ready for church. So Easton wanted to brush his too. And wanted us to get out Dalton's tooth brush. We're really bad...this was the very first time we'd brushed his teeth!

We started brushing Easton's the day he got his very first tooth. Um, Dalton has four and we're just now getting around to it. But seriously, he eats all night long so it's not like the brushing is for anything but practice. Still, he made this face at first:

So maybe the practicing isn't such a bad idea:

Speaking of practicing, we've been offering Dalton more in the way of solids too. The other night he ate nearly an entire jar of carrots. This is a ton for Dalton, despite his big ol' bootie he's not a big eater. Yet. But he polished off the whole jar minus four spoonfuls...

Those other four spoonfuls actually went to Easton who wanted some.

What a doofus! But hey, it's vegetables, right? Yuck. He started refusing "baby" food right after he turned a year old but he wanted some a few times back when I'd watch Baby John and then this weekend. Big silly boy!

I guess with some of his "big boy" strides like pottying, he still wants to feel like a little baby sometimes. Speaking of...he's got a new toy:

This Diego bubble whistle (and red sucker) was what he earned with 4 poops in the potty over the last week or so. There were those "drawer droppings" with that first one that I already told y'all about because I like to share everything with you and he also pooped in his pants once over the weekend but otherwise he's been doing pretty well putting all of it in the potty.

Ugh, if he wasn't driving me so crazy today then I'd probably brag on him a little more. But for now I'll just tell you this... last night we packed up some baby things like the swing and mobiles and some old clothes. Well, Easton was "helping" Daddy take the swing apart with his little Bob the Builder screwdriver. Instead of J putting his screwdriver away he left it on our "portal"/half-wall thing...so look what we discovered this morning...

Awwww, I like when he does stuff like that. And I like when he wakes up from his naps in a better mood than he was in when I put him down. Fingers crossed...

Sorry E is having one of those days. Those days are rough, I know. Thankfully on our end, they are becoming less frequent versus more.

Those pants are just the cutest on E! Made just for him, how perfect. And I just love those bath shots of D. Love all those rolls.

And glad to hear D loved his carrots. That is a favorite at our household too.

And YAY for E with the pottying! Sounds like he is definitely getting the hang of poopying on the potty!

Sounds like things are going well, minus the crankiness. I feel your pain. Katie has been quite the tooter. LOL. D is eating, E is pooping...life is good. ;)

We were having one of those days as well. Thankfully both our moods improved once daddy got home. I'm blaming on the lack of napping for both of us. :)

The pants are awesome. The 2nd picture of Easton makes me think that he's doing some kind of country line dance.

Oh and those rolls of Dizzle's...love them!!!

I hate those days. Mia usually starts her days fine but when we are out and about and naptime is pushed back or very short she becomes such a pill! Hopefully E's back to himself after a wee bit o nap!

I LOVE D's chunky bum! So cute! Gillian is eating away too! She's at a jar a day now and about 1/3 c of cereal in the morning.
