Easton took a very late nap because he was quite cranky. When I went in to wake him at 5:30 he was nearly impossible to rouse. I called in Jason and Dalton to help, even. It was that hard. He finally woke up but we were a little worried he'd be a Trick-or-Treating crankster. But once it was time to get dressed he came around. We got our first Trick-or-Treater just before 6. Then we knew we could get our boys dressed as well.
We were getting them into their costumes when more trick-or-treaters rang. Easton told Jason, "Oh! I need to get ready!" and rushed to put his arms in his costume while I went and handed out fruit snacks to the callers. Turns out one of those kids was dressed as Superman like my baby and that kid came in our house and started playing with a basketball. I was thinking if I was that parent I would have been both horrified and nervous. But she stood at the street laughing. Whatever. I got the crazy Superman out of my house and went to help my own Superman and Buzz get ready:
I should also mention that Dalton was sick and puking all day. Poor little guy. But we had him dress up anyway because that's how we are.
So, anyway, we turned off our porch light while we were gone and headed out:
Just look at the zoom of Easton in that picture:
He was sooooooo into it all this year. Too cute!
Daddy, Superbaby, and the beautiful Colorado sunsets:
Buzz patrolling the streets:
Finally getting to Trick-or-Treat at the "Halloween House" like he described in that movie awhile back:
Easton would forget to say, "Trick or treat". Or sometimes he'd say it to a closed door. Goob. He was always very concerned that people needed to put a treat in Dalton's bucket too. What a good brother!
If Dizz only knew how his big brother was looking out for him!
We weren't out too long. It's chilly here in Colorado, after all. And Easton loves giving out candy too. So, we headed home with their stash:
Easton posing with his loot:
And Superbaby with his cape "flying" behind him:
Just before his first bite of Milk Dud...the first candy he chose which was probably someone's leftovers from last year because they were "duds", if you will.
He switched to peanut M&Ms after that.
A certain someone was more than ready for bed before long:
And during the night Dalton's 3rd tooth popped through. It has just started to break the surface in one tiny part. His top right tooth. He is also starting to crawl on all fours a tiny bit and yesterday got himself into a sitting position for the first time all by himself. Jason and I were right there and started laughing and cheering and Dalton was confused and laughed with us at first before dissolving into tears over it all. Poor guy. He really was not feeling his best.
Easton helped give out candy until his bedtime. He'd put the treats in everyone's buckets. One time he told them, "You're welcome!" even though no one said "Thank you". Another time he greet a bunch of youngsters with a, "Hi kids!" We love our little goons.
I was gonna make a short montage with a few more pics but that's gonna have to wait. This oughta hold you for a bit...

What adorable "goons". They looks like they had a blast. Sorry Dalton is not feeling good. But watching his crawl and sit up, how exciting.
awwww poor D! He is still the happiest sick baby I've ever seen! OMG! Another tooth! He's just starting to take off! E is hilarious! He wasn't scared going up to the halloween house huh? Brave guy! The costume looks great on him!! I'm so glad he liked it!!
I'm so sad about Dizzle! I think figured out Nathan's tummy pain, though. *whispering* He's constipated. LOL. Nothing like sharing my son's bathroom troubles on the internet. Hahaha. I hope Superman is feeling Super today. No more sadness or pukies.
Eastie is SO cute! You can just tell how thrilled he was! How fun. And he has such great manner, too. Katie still didn't "get it" but she had a blast just being in costume. I think by next year she'll have a better handle on what all the hubbub is about.
I can't believe that kid walked in your house! I'd have been
We need crawling Dalton video!
Such cute pictures. It's amazing how smiley Dalton is even when he's not feeling well. I love that Easton got so into it. We had a Buzz trick-or-treater on Wed night and I thought of your sweet boy.
They look adorable in their costumes. E looked like he was having a blast!
Just had to comment on that one house...spooky! They really do it up!
And poor D :( I hate it when they are sick. Hopefully he is feeling better now. And yay for the 3rd tooth! Grace popped her first a couple days ago just after I had said she wasn't teething. Go figure!
And that is awesome D starting crawling on all 4's!! Woohoo!
Your boys look sooooo cute! Katie kept saying Trick or Treat even when she was walking away. Maybe she thought someone was hiding in the bushes.
