For My 30th Birthday...My 800th Post

Jason was like, "Do I not talk to you enough?" because how do I have so much to say to write 800 posts in just over two years of blogging?

I wanted to write something poignant about leaving my twenties for my 800th post...and I might for my 801st. But right now time does not allow (as this is a pre-written post). What I am prepared for is a look back in time... a look at this day in history.

For instance, 30 years ago, 9 pound 15 ounce Krisitn Michelle Hale was born, breaking my poor mom's tailbone on the way out:

Here I am at one year old:

Two year old me, back when I was known as "Kristi":

Three or maybe four year old Kristi:

Then we skip a few years, for reasons unknown. I'm sure I had parties, but we couldn't find the pics on short notice.

For the next phase I have matured into "Kristin" (once I started school) and I think these pics must be from my 6th birthday party, the summer after kindergarten...I don't think I'd have this many friends if it was my 5th:

That's my dad in the far left making his very first appearance on my blog.

I have no idea when this was, other than we are living in Colorado Springs and therefore I must've been 5, 6, or maybe 7. All that is obvious is that I have no idea how to sit politely in a bathing suit yet:

This has got to be my 7th birthday...and this was right when my parents got divorced...so I don't know why we're back at this house in C. Springs...other than for my rockin' Rainbow Brite party:

I still remember the names of all these kids in the pics, except my two year old party.

Somehow we skip many more years in the party pics and suddenly I'm turning 14, about to start high school. How do you like the telephone earrings I'm sporting and not-quite-two-year-old Lauren on my lap?

My best friend Kelli gave me the Speidel ID braclet I was so very much wanting:

15 year old me:

That was the year of our Disney cruise and vacation, hence the fondness for Mickey Mouse:

Now comes my Sweet Sixteen, and are you in for a treat...Glamour Shots!

Kelli had to come with me:

We went and washed all the crap off our faces for dinner at Macaroni Grill...I got to drive one car and my parents and Lauren went in the other:

Jessica on the left was not in her most photogenic phase.

Apparently we went through yet another wardrobe change...and added Tonya:

Somehow we switched Tonya for Samantha and went bowling:

That night I met Michael...

...who you'll see here at my 17th:

We're back at the Macaroni Grill. I really like how us girls are smiling for the camera and Mike is smiling at the dessert. That's always made me laugh.

Sometimes my step-dad annoyed me, which is why I'm making this face at him:

Celebrating 17 and Lauren's 5th at Grammy's house with the extended family (our b-days are 9 days apart):

I have more pictures of older birthdays...but I feel like I look the same as I did when I was 16. I know I don't...but that's how I picture myself. I even have this reverse anorexia problem where I think of myself skinnier than I am...like how I was in my teen years.

Anyway, thanks for taking a look back with me. I know my pictures of pictures are not great.

Happy birthday to me! :)

That was so fun! I can't quite picture you as a 'Kristi'!

I see a lot of Eastie in you in your 7th birthday picture.

LOVED this post & wishing you a VERY HAPPY, BLESSED birthday Kristin!

Oh my goodness, lil Kristi/Kristin is SO cute! Where are all the awkward pre teen photos? If I where to share all of mine, you would fall out of your chair laughing. Not fair!

I had no idea your hair used to be SO light!

I think it's neat that you have some photos with friends that you are still friends with. That's pretty special.

Happy 30th Kristin!!!

A couple of things I forgot...

I love your little legs in your 1 year old photo. I can even tell that it's you by your eyes.

Don't you just love Glamour Shots? lol I haven't thought about those in ages. I have some too that I may have to dig out now. :)

Man, I don't even want to think about having a 30-year old! You were beautiful as a baby and you are beautiful now. You are raising two beautiful little boys, too (on the inside and the outside). HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY PRECIOUS FIRST BORN!!! I love you so much...Moo
