So wow...let's see...um, we've had a full day so far and it's only 1:30. Before Jason even left for work today I went to the rec center near us to try again to get my boys in their second session of swimming lessons, but no luck. Oh well. Then after the boys and I had our breakfast we went to Wal-Mart. Easton was extra good at the store, and he entertained Dalton by hanging off the front of the cart (where Dalton sits) and playing with him. Easton was making up a song with all the running commentary of what we were doing and what Dalton was doing (sticking his feet on Easton's face). It was way entertaining for all of us. He had a real ballad going.
We came home and put the groceries away, threw dinner in the Crock-Pot and took off for Max's house for a little playgroup. I have no playgroup pictures. It gets a little chaotic there and I'm too busy making sure Dalton doesn't hide all their remotes or falling down their stairs to try to take pictures. I did take some pictures on the way there, though.
Dalton was up early again and totally crashed for awhile in the car as you can see. He even fell asleep on the way to Wal-Mart this morning. Why can't my kids just learn to sleep in instead?
After awhile at Max's, Dalton was in need of a nap so we left before anyone else did and stopped for lunch at Noodles. We raced home and now Dalton is fast asleep, Eastie is doing his quiet time in his Spidey costume. He's being amazingly quiet but not asleep, so I'll have to go investigate soon. Make sure there's not lotion everywhere again. :)
Swimming lessons last night were fun. Easton was completely happy the entire time which is a change from the last few weeks, more like his first few sessions. But I've learned you can't really expect it to go either way with Eastie. He chose to wear his wet suit and he just did really well. Towards the end of class they walked over to the deep end and put on life jackets. I was surprised to see that, actually, but Easton loves swimming independently like that and kicked the butts of the other kids. Actually it's not totally something to brag on how my kid isn't smart enough to fearfully respect the water. :) I think it's good that we've taught him not to be afraid, but some fear would be nice. Some kids were afraid to jump in...obviously not Easton. I think he surprised the teacher. They got to jump off the diving platform too! Only two kids of the 6 or 7 did it from a standing position. My Eastie was one of them. The other kid looks to be about 7 (The Maws will know the girl I'm talking about LOL).
Yesterday was also doughnut day of course...Easton didn't want to eat much because we said he could paint after breakfast. So he had just one doughnut or so and moved to paint in his Justice League book:
While Dalton ate more doughnuts:
After we got dressed and such Easton said, "I want you to take a picture of me with my paintings, please" and then set up a chair for himself to stand on:

That was today and yesterday.
All caught up, once again. :)

I loooove the sleeping pic of D!
Now I would LOVE for my kids to take a lil' snooze in the car! It NEVER happens. EVER!
Love, Cori
I bet Eastie's car song was pretty clever.
Glad he had fun at swim class. KayTar has no fear of the water either. I love it, but sometimes it worries me because I know SHE doesn't know the difference between jumping in with floaties or without them.
That last picture is adorable. And Easton is so good with Dalton, feet in his face and all. What a patient little guy.
That is awesome that E jumped off the diving board like that. But a little fear as you said may be good...lol.
Adam could certainly share a little of his water fear. Although he's doing much better than he was at the beginning of the summer. Easton doesn't seem to be scared of much...especially not heights with all the climbing that he does!
Was the playgroup fun today?
The last pic of your boys sure is cute. Dalton and his faces...gotta love him. :)
