Three and Three Quarters

That's how old Easton is today, I can't believe he's getting so close to 4. My silly little guy. He had school today and apparently he's had some minor crying episodes.

When I dropped him off this morning I joked to Mrs. M "No ones crying today!" she joked back, "Shhh, not so loud" but said that Easton had two instances of "real loud" crying on Tuesday. This was total news to me. The first time she said she thought he got frustrated when doing a puzzle and needed help. She just told him to use his words and he stopped crying. A little later she said he did it again and then turned it into a fake laugh instead and said, "Isn't that so silly?" She seems to think he's a huge goofball. I'd have to agree. I told her I didn't know where he got it. :)

Today when I picked him up he ran out and said, "Mama I cried today." He first told me it was because he doesn't want to go to school anymore and he missed his friend Max. Later he changed it to Isaac. I don't think Isaac was there today. That's what I get for my little "joke" about nobody crying this morning.

E got his first birthday party invite from a friend in class today (the whole class was invited)...it's a pretend slumber party which Easton LOVES to play pretend slumber party. In fact the other day me, E, and D were all in his little sleeping bag together. This will be fun and with the field trip next week I'm hoping to help him foster some more friendships for days when Issac isn't there.

One mom picking up her daughter is pregnant with a yet-to-be-named baby boy. She said, "It's funny...'Easton' is on my list and I didn't know there was an Easton in the class....who's your kid?" Uh, Easton. :)

Anyway, Mrs. M said she had no idea what set Easton off crying today but that it was about midway through the morning and it was for about 10 minutes. I really do like that he likes Isaac so much. I called and Isaac is sick. I'll have to tell E.

While Eastie did school, Diddles and I did our usual breakfast at ABC followed by AussieROO and then a quick stop at Wal-Mart for some nearly free stuff. I bought a bag of frozen green beans and the checker discovered it was open and sent me back to get a new bag. Well, when I unloaded at home I learned she gave me the opened bag anyway! Argh!

We came home for lunch and I was making macaroni and I was holding the strainer and dropped the whole thing of noodles into the sink. D'oh! It was my only box but luckily I still had the cheese powder and I just boiled some Halloweeny shaped pasta my mom had given us and used the Kraft powder on those. Just as good.

Now the boys are doing their time in their rooms and Dalton isn't feeling very tired, apparently. I'll have to go intervene so I should go. Till next time!

Do you know what is funny? That little monkey invitation is the EXACT one I just dropped off for all the kids at Zoe's school for her upcoming 2nd birthday. So, it looks like Eastie is invited too!

I thought that invite was cute too. That sounds like it will be a fun party.

Good improvising with the mac n cheese!

A short post today. Yeah for the invite and sorry that Easton's friend was not there. Looks like you picked a good friend for him.
