So, last night the girl from high school came over again...this time she brought her husband (who also graduated with us) and they met Jason too. Furthermore, they told me that they've decided they would love to have me watch their son--4 month old baby Carson--one day a week when she starts back to work in January. She is part time and her mom will watch Carson two days a week then I'll do the rest...
On Wednesdays little Carson will be joining us bright and early. Hope it all goes well. I was not looking for a "job" at all. The girl (Shannon) and I connected on Facebook recently. She and I were not really friends in high school but we were both friendly. The only reason I really know much of her is because our maiden names put our lockers right next to one another for four years. I never even had a single class with her or her husband (Ryan) although I sort of knew him from him being a football player and me being a football athletic trainer.
At our high school reunion 2 years ago they both gave me hugs and we all chatted after Shannon noticed me rubbing my slight Dalton-filled bump. We learned we live at the same intersection up here. So, now two years have passed and I'm new to Facebook wondering what kinds of people I can find on there and Shannon was one of them. I saw she'd had a baby so I wrote to congratulate her and ask if they were still in the area. They were and because she was going back to work, she asked if I had any daycare recommendations. I said no not really because I am a stay-at-home mom but joked that she could drop her little cutie off here but I might not give him back because I wouldn't mind a third child.
However, that struck here as a rather ideal scenario (minus me keeping him forever) and we talked back and forth and whaddya know...I've got a very part time job till May. Crazy.
Anyway, that's that.
Today the boys and I are rather busy with finishing up our shopping. We made a lot of progress (woo hoo!) and treated ourselves to a mac and cheese lunch at Noodles. We'll head back out this afternoon to hopefully finish up. Then we can sit back and really enjoy the season even more. We've got crafts to do, people. And gingerbread houses to make.
So, no pictures YET AGAIN. I'm so sorry folks. Ooooh, wait...I can find a couple you've never seen. These are from that "professional" that we saw in the summer. Ack! I mean, they're cute pics because the kids are cute...but I could take these!
We JUST got the CD with these pictures the other day. We had them done in August!
Okay folks, this 'bout wraps it all up. Good thing I found some pics to show or some of you might be kinda annoyed, eh?
Till we meet again...
