We did end up having to go out in the one degree weather yesterday. I left Dalton in his two pairs of p.j.s and just added a coat and hat. Easton wore some jammies like long johns under his clothes. He found a scarf and wanted to wear it too. Only problem is it came from a "soft friend" (what he calls stuffed animals) and was about 3/4" wide and hardly reached around his neck. Instead he wore one of mine for awhile. Stylish.
We ran up to get our Christmas cards and went to shove them in a very overcrowded mailbox. I'm kinda nervous so if you're expecting a card from us and don't get one in the next couple days let me know. Seriously the boxes were all overflowing. We also hit the store just to pick up the ingredients for last night's dinner. A quick stop for our free Redbox (Horton Hears a Who) and we were back in our warm house. And Jason had come home early to beat the traffic so that was fun, even if he was still doing work.
Easton is somewhat back to his normal self today, yesterday was rough, he was so cranky and whiney. I told him at one point that he had to stop crying about everything. I am certain I did not say it in my most patient voice and he burst further into tears letting me know, "That hurts my feelings" and I felt baaaaaaad. I know lots of kids his age say it (probably where he came up with it) but it was his first time to say such a thing. :(
Oh well. Because he's better today. He had school and wore his warm jammies under his clothes again. It's up to 32 degrees today. Compared to yesterday it's darn near toasty. Dalton and I just hung here at home while E was in school. We played some chase, did some laundry, ate some breakfast, he watched some shows...then we went to pick E up again. Kylee (Isaac's mom) gave us two free meal passes for Sweet Tomatoes (she works there, remember?) Merry Christmas to us!!!
Before quiet time Easton and I wrapped a few Christmas presents but I need to get cracking on finishing up my shopping. I don't know why I'm being such a slacker but I need to get in gear. I'm anxious for all my online orders to get in. It helps to have everything in hand. Nothing is going under the tree yet. Dalton cannot be trusted. No sir. The bottom half of our tree is missing all it's ornaments, but that wasn't our doing. The boys have moved them all up higher.
After Diddles wakes up we have to go to Wal-Mart. It's not as scary a thought with a more normal 32 degrees than it was yesterday. I mean, a 30 degree difference! Think about how different 60 degrees feels from 90. Or even 30 degrees from 60. So 2 degrees, is 30 degrees colder than freezing (32 degrees) already!!!
This evening I'm having another mutual "interview" with that girl from high school I'm talking with about a job. It is certainly going both ways, though. We'll see. I'm pretty sure it'll work out and I'll have a tiny job next month. Eek!
Moving on...I don't really have any pictures for today except a couple we took for Easton's birthday party invites:
Aren't we fun? I stayed up way too late last night designing the invitations. I like to send them out immediately after Christmas, even then it's late notice, but pretty much all our invitees have already gotten a "save the date/will you come?" phone call so it's all good. I'll have to share the invites some other time.
Till later...

Oh, so interested to hear about your job. I worked from home up until this time last year and I don't miss it at all (they money, yes...the job, no!)
I can't wait to see the invites as I bet they are so cute with a photo shoot like that.
I bet you were so sad when E told you that. Have you ever gotten an "I don't like and/or love you." ...I have not and will probably cry the first time I do :(
Glad you guys had a warm(er) day today. It's almost mind-boggling when 30 degrees is considered a warm up!
I'm invisioning all kinds of fun and cuteness with that invite photo!
I hope it all works out with your potential job.
I am excited to see the invites. I am sure they are fantastic as always.
The swimmy Batman photos are GREAT!!
I cheated and read today's post first so I already know about the job!
I've gotten, "You hurt my feelings!" but I've also gotten, "I wish I didn't even HAVE a family!" once. OUCH. I think it was about a video game, if I remember correctly. LOL.
