Okay, I'm back on track today. Sorry 'bout that. So, I have to take you back to Wednesday afternoon first...I tried to do a craft with the boys. I wanted to decorate those foam masks we picked up at Walgreens. Neither boy was much into the idea...Easton scribbled on his with a red Sharpie and then asked to go watch Curious George (which had come in the mail that day):
Dalton acted like he wanted to scribble on his, but then would only color the paper I had underneath the mask protecting the table:
He threw such a gigantic tantrum over it all, throwing Sharpies and just being an overall toddler about it. I had more than just the sharpies out...I had glitter glue and foam stickers. Party poopers. When D was done and watching Curious George too, the rascal did this:
I already told you had I didn't take any pics of the boys yesterday. Not even in the afternoon when they opened the mail from The Alabamaws and each got a Wal-Mart gift card to go pick out a treat. Very exciting! I told them we could go after gymnastics.
Dalton did have a better night last night. He was still up once but that's better than 4-5 times.
Today we did gymnastics...it's the first class of this session. Emily is in this session again. I'm not sure if I've ever mentioned it or not but Emily is a girl from his class at school. I think they ignore one another at school because they sure ignore one another at gymnastics until we moms go, "Did you say "Hi!"?"
After gymnastics we went to Wal-Mart as planned. At first Easton just kept playing with the noisy "Try Me" toys, but they weren't necessarily toys he'd want to choose to bring home. I had to help him focus and show him options of toys in his price range. He sat in the cart to think about some of the choices while we went looking for something for Dalton. He was shouting "Tubbies" at a "Little Einsteins" bath toy but then didn't want it. So, I asked Easton if he had decided and he said, "Yes, it's something from this aisle" leading me back to the superheros aisle. I'm not sure his mind was made up at the time, but that was fine. He decided on a Hot Wheels pack with two Batman Dark Knight vehicles and some sort of launcher thingie.
We went back on a search for Dalton when he went nuts over a baby doll. He was shouting, "Baby! Baby!" and reaching till I held it up. They had several different outfit colors and he chose the baby in purple. As soon as he got it he was kissing on it and patting it. It was too cute to see!
We got in line to check out, Easton asked, "Where's my card?" so he could hand it to the lady like a real shopper. Dalton did the same. I took pictures with my phone but you'll have to wait for those. Instead I have these from home:
Easton is a big fan of the new doll too, they were playing with it much more than the Batman cars:
And here's a video or two:
I'm excited for the weekend...so far Easton's got a birthday party for Jacob and I've got a Mom's Night Out on the schedule. Good times, good times.
Enjoy your weekend too!

Oh, I just love Dalton with the baby doll. Is J okay with the boys having dolls? I know some guys don't like that kind of thing.
Ahhhh love the baby doll! :) Sorry I have been out of the blog world for a bit. Things are back to normal now.
Awww! D was so cute with his baby!
Glad sleep is normalizing over there. Cranky kiddos are no fun, especially when you are sleep deprived, too.
It looks like we are both hitting the terrible twos again. Micah's hit a couple weeks ago which is a few months later than when Ranen's started. I so don't like this phase.
That is great that they wanted to pay with their cards. What big boys. I love the pictures of the boy's with the baby. They are so loving.
A mom's night out, so fun. I can't wait to hear about it.
I think it is SO awesome that you bought the boys a baby doll! WTG mom!
Your boys are so, so sweet loving on Baby Dupa.
