Moving right along...Easton and I had a busy morning. It was the first time I'd left the house since Saturday so we were due. First we headed over to Wal-Mart for the majority of our groceries. Easton saw a mechanical horse when we walked in and sweetly pointed at himself and asked, "Me? Me?" and I sadly had to tell him that, "No, we're not going to ride the fifty cent horsey. We can ride the other one at the next store." That seemed to be good enough for him so we did our shopping and he was very good and helpful. The store was relatively empty too which makes me happy. The Wal-Mart crowd is never the city's finest. While we were in the check-out line he started hacking and the checker said, "Ohhhh, that's some cough you got there." So, to get more attention he started faking coughs and peeking around at the checker. He's so silly.
After The Mart we pulled up to the regular grocery store for a few choice items: shredded cheese and tofu. I'm making my special tofu mac tonight and Wal-Mart's cheese isn't flavorful enough for this dish. Plus, Wal-Mart was out of tofu. As soon as we pulled into our parking space Easton started clicking his tongue which is what he does when he sees horses or wants horsey rides. Sometimes I am so amazed with his memory. We dashed through the store and then I had to ask for change for a nickel so we'd have some pennies for the horse. I let him hold the penny while we checked out which he thought was super cool. Then we hit the penny pony. He loved it yet again and I didn't let him fall off this time. Go Mama!
We sped home and I unloaded all the "cold stuff" into the fridge and freezer and left everything else on the counter and then we raced over to Circle Time. We missed the patting along song that starts each session. Darn. That's E's favorite part. While the librarian was reading a story he even started patting at her. Poor fella. We'll try to be on time next time. He did very very well and sat still for the stories but wouldn't dance or shake his shaker eggs when it was time for that. Goof. He'd better get better for our Kindermusik classes. Those start next week. Anyway, at the end of Circle Time Miss Jenny gave them sidewalk chalk and took them out to the library entrance to color. What fun! We went back inside afterwards to pick out some books and play with some twin girls. They were younger than E but about the same size. One was named Coriander. I'm all for interesting and unusual names but that one I didn't love. To each their own, I s'pose. The crazy thing is that since I'm nosy about preemies and twins are often born prematurely, I asked if they were born early. She made it to 38 weeks! That is unheard of with twins! "They" seem to consider "term" to be just 36 weeks with twins. Good for her. She didn't mind my nosiness, thank goodness. Also, while we were playing after Circle Time, Easton climbed up onto a chair to sit next to someone's Grandpa. It was pretty sweet. It was even sweeter when Easton tumbled off the chair and the Grampa-dude caught him in mid-air! Go Pops!
We came home and had a quick lunch. Well, E did whilst I put away the groceries I had left out. Now he's having a nap and I'm enjoying some "me" time as usual.
Oh, and today is my pal Kelli's hubby's birthday too! I don't have a picture of him but have a picture that he took instead:
That's us at the high school reunion. My how we've grown. See us on my 16th birthday 12 years ago (I'm the dork in the hat):
Anyway, happy birthday to both Jessica and Jonathan! I hope you and all my "fans" have a great day!

Hey Kwit! Great blog today (yesterday). So sweet to honor J on her b'day with great pics with the E-man. Lots of fun news and events. Fun pictures of you and pals then and now. Coriander needs to be friends with my student, Raisin. They would be quite the pair. Moo
Look at that old picture of you. I love old photos...did you scan it to get it up there? By the way, wanted to let you know that I noticed your new profile pic :>
